Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I’m not sure. But I think you would be better off with a gun from Atlas gun works or a similar builder. Then you would have a proven track record and get a metal grip gun for around the same price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Anybody have any experience with triarc systems 2011 pistols? They have a few models that look pretty slick, but I know there’s more to a fighting gun than just some multicam cerakote. Can anyone speak to their performance and reliability? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I've never accidentally pushed the thumb safety up on any of my 1911s. I was trained to always ride my thumb on the safety while shooting to prevent this. It's muscle memory for me now. My Dan Wesson doesn't even have that dimple on the safety. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I just checked my marauder and it's the same way. With the hammer forward, you can only push the safety up half way. Does yours move up to the half safe position on its own or just when you push it up? As long as it isn't doing it on its own I would say it's fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. FP-10 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. All stock pistol. Mine has only done it while hand cycling it. My buddy's did it while firing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Is there a reason a slide would stick when pulled back and then go forward when tapping it? This happened to a guy I work with and he had to send it back. Mine just did it after cleaning and reassembly. But I took the barrel and recoil assembly out and the slide glided on the frame like butter. I then put it all back together and everything was fine. Any thoughts? Could the recoil spring be binding up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The tac 4.0 with threaded barrel was what I wanted but I shot a marauder and loved it so I just went that because the shop had one on order. Plus, the threaded barrel was a $200 option and put it at the same price as the marauder. I'm used to carrying a a Dan Wesson specialist on duty so the length will be the same. Hopefully the extra rounds won't weigh me down too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I just bought a marauder for this role. I haven't put many rounds through it yet, but that should change soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. If 2011 pistols are so unreliable, why are they so popular for competition? And is the upkeep worse than running a 1911? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Ed, I will definitely be checking out your club this summer. Zeroryde- yeah we can carry pretty much whatever we want aside from something that has proven to be unreliable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Peoria Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I've heard the same thing about the Safariland holsters, which is great because that's what I already use for my dan Wesson. I would think that Glock 21 mag pouches would work, but I also have gcode scorpions which are one size fits all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Gotcha. Has your 2011 performed well for you in competition? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Sorry, I meant plastic m&p Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
