Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Well I just picked up my 92FS this afternoon. My hands aren't that big, usually wear medium gloves and I prefer short triggers in my 1911 bullseye guns, with that said the 92FS seems to have a very short LOP in SA however the DA is pretty long, I think once I get Wilson Combat to tune it I will be good to go. I'll probably have them install a metal trigger (just because I hate plastic) but not the short reach one. I would love to have the LOP in DA to be shorter but not sure I'm willing to go any shorter on the SA LOP in exchange. Most shots are in SA anyway. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  2. Isn't very little movement in SA a good thing? My competition 1911 have nearly none. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  3. Any additional feedback on this gun over the last year guys? I'm considering one for plinking, I have custom bullseye wadguns for serious shooting. Seems it would also be another good home defense pistol.
  4. I forgot about the P210 but on my budget I'd have to get the new American version. Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  5. I'm a bullseye shoot but want to pick up a non polymer 9mm to plink with. It might be used for competition some day but not likely. The Shadow 2 is about $1100 where the Bersa is $750 however it looks a bit more dressed up. Aside from that they look similar in features, the CZ is all steel and heavier where the Bersa has an alloy frame and steel slide. Any of you guys handle or shoot both? I live in a spot where I likely won't be able to handle either one before buying. What are your thoughts? Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for all the info guys. The answers are more complex than i thought, there are a lot more classes and disciplines than I realized. I need to do some research and see whats in my area.
  7. Is it the bushing that makes the Accu Shadow illegal in some classes?
  8. I've been shooting bullseye 2700 for a couple years now and have a good bit of experience with 1911's. I don't currently shoot action pistol sports as there aren't any nearby. I'm selling one of my match rifles and am thinking of buying a nice pistol, it will be for fun shooting however I would like it to be a decent pistol for all around action shooting if I decide to get into it at some point, I try to buy a lot of my firearms with a possible competition use in mind. I'm left handed and have medium hands. I also don't know if I should get .40 or 9mm, I know both excel in different sports and some depends on power factor, which caliber would cover more bases? I'm looking at 3 options currently, the CZ Accu Shadow in 9mm, Sig X5 which seem more common in .40 and the STI 2011. Which would be a saver bet?
