  1. I started with the FM-9 upper on a blocked AR15 lower was finiky at first but that was due to the Block not the upper. Loved PCC and got the bug. Picked up the Billet Lower and dumped all my AR Parts into it (including my buffer)... Had some multi fires and contacted Paul from FM Products... He shipped me out their Buffer, Spring, trigger and Comp. to which I ran about 2000 rounds without an issue. When their new Ultralight barrels came in I swapped over and have done nothing but run it hard... most of the time without cleaning. I'm over 6k rounds of Reloads, and Factory and the thing eats everything. If it weren't for the HHF Adjustment I'd be a USPSA Master now... Grrrrrr I live in MN and Shoot with Josh Frolich PCC God who runs a JP... along with a lot of guys that work at JP come to my matches... It's not the gun holding me back from beating them... It's the extra 45lbs I'm lugging around in my mid section and poor plan execution. If your looking for a good rifle with an AMAZING support structure from the Company and it's users... the FM-9 is worth the look for all their parts and full rifle. Funny Story... I was shooting a Benefit Match for a local gun shop here and I had a case separation... No fault of the Rifle as I shoot reloads. No damage done except my pride as I was the first shooter... I posted a picture of it on social media... within Minutes Paul was calling me and he had a group of guys wanting to know if I was ok... once they knew I was good, they started asking about specifics... Ammo, Reloads... had me send pictures of the Casing, asking for pictures of the receiver, extractor, BCG and Barrel... I kept telling them it was ammo.. I'd run into some cases that had Crimps half way down and I knew it was one of those that separated... That's the kind of response and concern FM Products has for its customers/product users. JP's are great rifles... and they do work well, but I prefer the customer service that I have experienced with FM-Products and I'm glad to be associated with them.
  2. Ordered these from www.nokick.com on Friday... they delivered on Monday!!!! JP Enterprises Comp & 308 Rifle Spring along with the KynShot/Blitzkrieg HydroBuffer!!! Goodbye Dot Bounce!!!!
  3. I had a reshoot and then the RO changed the sensitivity on the timer.... kept the timer in the same spot and it picked up every shot.... The setting is buried in the menu... crank it up to max for the PCC's, but keep an eye on it so other bays that are shooting don't register... if they don't, game on.
  4. There were some posts by Paul about how they developed (or were testing) and Ultralight barrel design for competition shooting.
  5. I've been running an FM upper and FM Billet Lower from them since Nov/December of last year. Love the charging handle. Easy manipulation of the BCG and a great index point for my grip. The thing eats any ammo you throw at it. It was designed to run cheap steel ammo, but loves everything. If you do have any problems with it... Paul (owner) will bend over backwards to help you get it resolved... Even bring in other owners to help if you decide to go with a different lower then FM-Products.... I originally built mine with a Tork Mag G-Block and he helped with some minor fitting issues and got it all worked out.... Not a bad way to go and it's at a great price!!!
  6. I found the pin @ speedshooters international.... but 18 bucks for shipping sucks.... I ordered the full stop from PD along with a couple other things. As for my existing slide stop.... way ahead ya!!!
  7. unknown round count prior to my acquisition... I got it in December and have appx 1000-1500 through it. It needs to be noted that this was just the pin that broke. Previous owner had a Pin only vs the Slidestop. I had a full slidestop as a back up... but then with my grip, it stops the slide after every shot... so yea.. I had a single shot gun for a whole stage last night.
  8. Was planning on that... but I want a few backups. There's got to be a stronger one out there.
  9. LIGHT PRIMER STRIKES RESOLVED!!!!! Gun ran against the Freedom Ammo with the Hennein Pin and 15# hammer spring perfectly. but then....... Disaster All of a sudden the hammer wouldn't drop!!!! Yep... Broke the slide stop pin. Luckily I had another slide stop, but I continuously ride up on it to lock the slide back.... Where can I buy another Pin without the slide stop part??????
  10. Well.... it did have 2 punches in the 28-29 range.... then when it settled @ appx 2 feet I looked at the eraser and a giant hole. Almost need to get a new pencil and retest.... but i think I got the data I was looking for. Side note... my daughter (7) asked what I was doing.... rather than bore her with details about springs, firing pins and primers... i talked to her about the scientific process and having a theory, testing, data and conclusion!!!!
  11. Ok everyone.. I got a chance to play around with the different hammer springs and firing pins and here are the results of my own pencil test. The baseline is what was in the gun and is listed first. Unknown Hammer Spring Henning Firing Pin 2.5# Trigger Pull Pencil launch average appx 16-17" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unknown Hammer Spring Stock Firing Pin 2.5# Trigger Pull Pencil launch average appx 16-17" 15# Hammer Spring Stock Firing Pin 2.8# Trigger Pull Pencil launch average appx 18-19" 15# Hammer Spring Henning Firing Pin 2.8# Trigger Pull Pencil launch average appx 19-20" I also found a hammer spring in the package with the stock firing pin that was REALLY stiff... I can only assume it's the stock hammer spring because of these numbers... Suspect Stock Hammer Spring Stock Firing Pin 3# Trigger Pull Pencil launch average appx 23-24" Suspect Stock Hammer Spring Henning Firing Pin 3# Trigger Pull Pencil launch average appx 24-25" The henning and stock firing pin are really close with lower poundage springs... The henning only has an advantage on length as it's slightly longer. So.. without buying any other parts... I'm going to see how the 15# spring and Henning pin do with lighting off the Freedom Munitions... if I have any hiccups on the primers with that, then I can put the stock hammer spring back in the gun between stages. Thank you for the help everyone and I will let everyone know how the match goes this Sunday. Hopefully I'm done with misfire/clearing jam practice!!!
  12. Ok..... thank you all for the info everyone!!! I just need to find some time to apply and test it. I do have another question/theory for you all, but I will save that for post testing if I'm still experiencing the problem.
  13. Yea... I thought that too... but it is an unknown spring to me. It might be another 13# for all I know. Anyway... I'm going to do some of my own pencil testing when I get a chance this week just to see what the trigger pull/hammer spring/firing pin gives me the best combo.
  14. Well coming from an M&P I was able to get my trigger pull down to 3.5. I've had this thing as low as 2 (with a damaged trigger return spring. Right now it's at appx 3.2 with a stock trigger return spring. I didn't have an increase going from a 13# hammer spring to the spring that came installed. As long as I'm around the 3# and can feed it anything, I will be happy. But right now... when I have a 16 round stage and have 3 LPS's... It doesn't matter how light the trigger is, my HF sucks.
  15. I have a love hate relationship with troubleshooting.... I like changing 1 thing at a time, as I know for sure what the problem was... but then I want it fixed now.... LOL Good thing is I can strip this thing down at a match and replace just about anything I need on the fly. Single sided safety is awesome to allow access to everything at the rear of the gun without too much trouble!!! Oh... it's the Henning Pin... EGD Trigger. Heaviest known spring I have is the 15#. I think I'll pencil test them each... I know it won't match against the "official" test, but I'll at least be able to see the difference. Thanks for all the help guys... now to just apply it!!!!
  16. Thank You!!! Putting the Stock FP in, going with the 15# Hammer Spring. - to help with the freedom reliability. I have another ammo source that loads his for appx 170pf and it came out of mine at 165.4pf and 167.1pf in two separate 4 round averages. He's going to be my source once the freedom is gone.
  17. Already Gone (done before i got it)!!! The only known hammer springs i have are the 13-15 wolff springs.... I'm guessing at the rest. I think the stock one is in there now.... but unknown.
  18. Ok... So I've been searching and reading and doing my best to figure this out myself, but I still can't get this to work 100% and don't want to call it an ammo problem just yet. I think I just have the wrong combo spring/firing pin setup for 100% ignition. Here's what I know. New to me in December, so anything I didn't replace myself will be listed as Unsure, but could be stock. Limited Elite .40 Recoil Spring - 10# Trigger Return Spring - Standard Trigger EGD Semi Flat Henning Firing Pin Stock Hammer Hammer Spring - Unsure (13# absolutely didn't work) (I have 14 and 15# Wolff in the mailbox) Extractor Spring - Unsure Reem - Unsure Polished any metal/metal contact - by me... not mirror, but smoother than when I got it. I have been using Freedom Munitions NEW 180gr HP and have never had an issue with their ammo in the past when I was running 9mm. I have all the stock parts, but looking to see if any combo of what I have will help. I'm not opposed to spending some money to supplement the parts I already have, I'm just trying to avoid buying everything then have a bag of parts sitting around. Again... my apologies for starting a new thread on this, as there's a lot of info out there but nothing seems to fit the SAO Limited. Oh.. and as a bonus... a friend of mine runs a chrome business... so I can have any or all of this gun/parts chromed for free so that is on the table as well!!!
  19. I'm not all that concerned with the slide lock as I have a pin vs the slide release because my grip rides it up while I'm shooting. I thought about the feel, as my pinky has been crushed on more than one occasion between the magwell and basepad.
