Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I wear gloves when i reload and rub my ammo in a towel after they come off press to get rid of excess lube. My hands dont really turn a color when i load magazines because of that.
  2. I see the blue bullets are very poplular. I have heard they turn peoples hands blue. Is that a non issue to the blue bullet users or is it like the one guy saying thats all he knows?
  3. Which brand of coated bullets are your favorite? If yours isnt listed please name it below along with weight and caliber.
  4. Have titegroup and hp38. Anyone have a load for minor? Being shot out of a cz accu-shadow.
  5. Tried froglube on several occasions. Not a fan of it. Its a pain to apply. You have to heat it to melt it. In the warmer months it work ok. The colder months i had malfunctions on guns that never malfunctioned before. Removed it and went back to traditional gun cleaner and oil. Never had a problem again. Only good thing about it was it smelled nice.
  6. yes i have seen that but is that refering to the velocity or because they tumble?Probably both? The thin plating will shear away at near 1500fps probably. Once the plating is compromised there is no limit to what the bullet might do. I would assume tumbling could be expected. In an open gun it wouldn't take much plating in a comp to produce radical bullet flight. FWIW I have shot A FEW 124 HP and HPCB OVER1400 and they were nice clean holes i stick to 124s since i shoot a shorty. I try to stay around 1375fps which is well under what they rate them at. Think they would still be getting damaged at that velocity?

  8. Would like to know the answer to this as well. I had 124gr rn xtreme tumbling with hs6.
  9. HS6 is extremely dense, I am guessing you could get well over 9.5 in there. yup i understand that. He is talking about hs6 though. Hottest ive loaded for hs6 was 8.1 gr and it wasnt leaving much if any head space. Uhh... you sure about that? It is incredibly tiny. I load wayyyy more than that. yeah you can load that much but i guarantee your bullet is pushing on the powder

  11. yes that might be close to overflowing. If it helps, 6.9gr of cfe pistol under a 124gr mg gives me a 169pf as well. 9.3 sounds way too hot to me for a 9mm major. My friend gets a 178pf in 9mm with 8.4 of hs6 under a 124gr mg. Thats a full size though
  12. You are missing something: I am shooting a 9mm. The gun that I shot today was a 38, loaded with 8.8 and a 124. So I am trying to figure out how much I would need for a 9mm with 115s. If I did get a new gun, it definitely has to be in 9mm, I have zero interest in dealing with 38 brass.i have found very little difference between the short barrel and a longer one. For instance, 3.9 gr of n320 and a 124gr xtreme was only a 20fps difference from a glock 34 and my matchmaster. My matchmaster with a 124gr plated takes 7.9gr 1.155 and it is a 169pf. That is especially interesting because Glocks have notoriously fast barrels. Assuming we are talking about the factory barrel at least. Cause if what you are reporting worked out for me, then that would probably put me pretty close to right on at 9.2 or 9.3, since my gun is so slow to start with.very interesting..... yes factory glock 34 barrel. I was expecting to have to load much hotter than i do to make major.
