Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. i just spoke to them about this last week. They are hit or miss in PCC depending on the gun. They are working on a PCC specific trigger to give better results. I love my ARGOLD in my .223 AR.
  2. Very cool that you guys have a program for junior shooters like that. I wish I would have been introduced to steel challenge years ago. I can't see the graph very well because everytime I click it on my phone, photobucket tries to spam me with app downloads... I'm interested in how the stage times change with the new loads. I need to try some custom steel loads for my open gun.
  3. It's for sure challenging. Gives your dry fire a little bit different purpose which is nice. Took me a while yesterday. I've done 21 in a row 2 different days, finally got 22...barely. Ha
  4. The challenge: 22 dry fire reloads in a row, all in one attempt. The goal is to help raise awareness of the veteran suicides, 22 and counting everyday. JJ started this a couple weeks ago on his Facebook page, I was able to get time to try this today. Took a while and is certainly challenging. Give it a try and post your videos.
  5. The thing about class wins at major matches is the check that comes with it. You guys talked about Todd Jarrett earlier...remember he is a pro and his income is affected by his performance. Competing as unclassified is taking money out of his pocket. Typically they all compete as GMs, so it's not a huge thing, but why risk it?
  6. You shouldn't have to treat it differently than any other open gun. Just because the barrel is a touch shorter doesn't change the entire set up. I run a steelmaster in 9 minor and Major, (steel challenge and USPSA) I just change the recoilmaster main spring. So far it's been good. Other have done the same. The matchmaster is a shorty major gun from sti. Just get it to eject the brass and get the recoil spring matched to your set up. I don't notice much difference between my Steelmaster and my buddies trubore on the same ammo. My PF 2-3 points lower, it's not some huge difference
  7. im totally bringing a banana to nationals....
  8. You are default as unclassified unless you have shot that division enough to get a classification. If I'm a GM in Open, doesn't mean I can start shooting revolver as a GM
  9. I wanted to go, but couldn't fit it in. I'll be at USPSA open nat. Good luck
  10. I made GM with a stock Palmetto State Armory PAx9. It's the 9mm Glock mag billet lower. Standard GI AR trigger, buffer and spring. Nothing special except for a Trijicon Reflex optic. You don't need anything real trick, just need to shoot it well.
  11. Going to be insane. If only the US would put money into this sport at this level
  12. Great info! I would love to see some pics. I need to find a better solution for my GG mags. Even in warm weather they get too cold with rapid fire.
  13. Thanks for the input guys. I've put everything back to stock. Been running 100% since day one. Taran offered me a good deal on getting them tuned, so I'll let him work his magic. Hopefully it's all good for nationals.
  14. I bought TTI 4g basepads, springs and followers for 2 STi 140mm and 1 sti 170 9mm. Problem is now the follower gets jamed up at the bottom. Guessing due to the ribs needing to be extended. They will be shipped to Taran to be tuned and worked over. That will be a couple of weeks since I have some comps coming up. So question is, can I just the base pads, and run stock spring and follower? I feel like the stock spring would be too short for the new basepads....
  15. ^yup. My buddies trubor has a t1 minor comp. I'll be running major thru my Steelmaster this weekend. I have a heavy and light recoilmaster and will try both to see how it runs. I've run major on the light spring before and it seemed fine, granted it was only a couple of rounds for chrono. There wasn't much velocity difference between the 5" trubor and my Steelmaster. About 2-3 power factor.
