I can across these tins of 45acp at a local gun store for 140/tin. The tins are dented but still completely sealed. Anyone into ww2 memorabilia able to give me a valuation of what these sell for nowadays? Last i saw these in my research was when midway sold these at 199/tin in 2011 Thanks guys! How are you all doing?! I am approaching my 21st birthday so I will finally get to buy my first handgun. While my dad has handguns so I'm not new to the handgun world of shooting, I am looking for something special as my first pistol. I am in CA so we do have a roster, basically all guns except for glock gen 3's are illegal here. That being said, I have a friend that is offering to sell me his Springfield Model P9 LSP (long slide ported) for my birthday. I am trying to find as much information as I can but Google is lacking of much information. I could only find that they are Tanfo OEM parts assembled in the US by Springfield (I don't even know if this is correct). I was also told that they used to be used heavily as Open guns if they were chambered in 9x21 to make major power factor. This one my buddy is selling is chambered in 9x19. Anyone here own one and/or have more information surrounding this pistol? Where can I get extra parts? Barrels? Sights? I kinda want to shoot this in production but it is ported.... Thanks in advanced!

how does the 13# ismi spring feel? have you compared it to a 15#?

Hey Randy what is the time line on moving out if CA? And after that happens when can we expect to see threaded apex grade barrels. I'm just trying to time my supressor purchase. I can't wait to get my hands on an Apex long slide. So imma take it that ISMI is the general consensus here? Guide rod is factory (how would i get the end retainer off?) OR is there another brand of guide rod to use?

Ive put more than 5k rounds through my M&P9 and I read somewhere (I know not everything I read is true) that 5k was the life of a standard factory recoil spring. My gun shoots fine and doesnt seem to have any problems. Is there a need to change out the spring? I am looking further into upgrades for my M&P anyways so would a lighter recoil spring do me any good for USPSA? My buddy helped me develop a lighter load for competing, should I go with a lighter spring? What are your guy's suggestions in terms of brands/weights. Thanks in advance!

My hope is that it would work for CO eventually. But maybe it won't fit in the box or something and not make it? I'm not going to pretend to know all of the rules. It's just that I find accurate guns interesting and I bet Apex will do it right, right out of the box. If they're going to CNC the slide it's nothing to insert a few more commands to make the cut for an optic. Or anyway, it seems to me that it's no big deal but I'm not a machinist and the only thing I know about CNC is to stay away from it. But I think that's why S&W can offer it so inexpensively on their CORE guns. As of right now, slides can only be replaced with ones of the same length, regardless of fitting in the box (but it wouldn't fit anyway). So unless S&W decides to start offering 6" slides / barrels, it will be a no-go in CO -- same as Production. isnt production for guns with factory parts externally only?

is s&w willing to sell their 5" slides? i used to keep trying to contact them for the 5" slides but they said they wouldnt sell me just the slide...finally found a complete Long slide assemblt for 375....(i live in CA so thats actually a good price)
