Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Was the install straight forward, or does it require some gunsmithing/fitting/etc.?
  2. UPDATE I received my slide back from Primary Machine and couldn't be happier. Excellent work and didn't refinish the slide.

  5. They told me refinishing was not needed because it's stainless steel.
  6. For SRO machining, I'm considering Primary Machine or Vulcan Machine werks. Has anyone used either?
  7. I searched but don't see instructions on swapping the mag release from left to right (not in the manual, either.) Has anyone does this, yet? Is it as simple as unscrew, switch sides, screw back in?
  8. Thanks! Looks like they're sold out of the TSO magwell. They said they'd be back in a few weeks.
  9. Another new-to-the-platform question. I want to put Lok palm swell brass grips and magwell for a Shadow 2 on my DWX. What screws is everyone using to do this? My understanding is the threading of the torx screws included won't work with the DWX and 1911 screws are the wrong shape.
  10. I'm new to CZ's, so be patient, please. I just picked up a DWX at MSRP off of gunbroker and am ordering parts to be here when it arrives; I intend to send it out to Vulcan to have it cut for an SRO (already in hand.) My question concerns magazines; it only comes with two and I'd like to have at least 5. I've ordered five Henning +5 bases/springs/followers, but am confused over which mags to order from CZ. I know it takes "P10" magazines, but am seeing a few different P10 mags. Am I specifically looking for 19 round "P10F" mags to get those identical to what I will receive with the gun?
  11. I received it, installed it, and it looks terrible. I'm taking if off and continuing on my path of finding a gunsmith willing to do it or get a new gun (If I can find a DWX in stock, that's what I'll go with.)
  12. UPDATE. After a lot of rejections, one gunsmith explained why no one wants to work on an Infinity: it's the replaceable breechface. It makes cutting the slide for an optic very complicated and easy to screw up. As a result, no one wants to touch it (after looking at it, I understand why.) Instead, I've ordered a rear sight replacement plate for an SRO. It's not quite as low as a direct cut, but it's close, it's a cheap part ($55), and I can install myself. It's a little ghetto but I'll shoot this for a season and if I like it, will just have a complete slide made; or maybe a new gun. Thanks for the input, everyone!
