Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I picked up my Pro Match Ultra on Friday, and took it out yesterday and ran 400 rounds through it. Absolutely zero issues with it, and was ringing a 12" plate at 100 yards at will. Pistol is as smooth as any other 1911 based pistol I've handled and shoots like a dream! Couldn't be happier.
  2. 100 yards with a RIA Pro Match Ultra (.40) at a 12" steel plate. Made it on the 3rd try off hand.
  3. I have a RIA Pro Match Ultra coming in tomorrow. Anything I should look out for? Do the RP9 mags work for .40, or is it just Para mags and MBX?
  4. Cant go wrong with a Dillon. I have a 550B and love it, have thought about upgrading to a 650 or a S1050 for speed and doing 5.56.
  5. I want to shoot as much as I can, as often as I can. It's a passion of mine, and I've been wanting to get into competitive shooting for several years now.
  6. That's not too far away. I'm at Ft. Stewart. Looking at shooting matches from NC down to FL.
  7. Yep, definitely plan on shooting limited. I'm in Georgia. How about you?
  8. That'll be down the road, but I'll give them a look. I've shot 4 different single stack RIs and they have all been accurate and durable. Interested to see how this "hand fitted" one works.
  9. Thanks everyone! Looking forward to getting into this fully. I currently have a Para P14-45, and have a RIA Pro Ultra Match on the way. Should do until my skills improve enough to warrant a pistol that's more than a paycheck. Haha
  10. Floater, That's exactly what I'm wanting. I need a good, social, competitive hobby. The whole point for me is to have fun, and shoot.
  11. Sarge, Stick, Thanks for the welcome! I really just want to have fun and enjoy myself. Safe, Accurate, and Fast (in that order). I'm an alright pistol shot out to 25-30 yards, what I am definitely going to have to work on, from what I've seen, is speed and footwork. I'm a believer in getting the muscle memory down, then going for speed, so I'll just focus on doing things right at first, then move on to worrying about the clock. Thanks again gents!
  12. Hello all! I'm a 32 year old Active Duty Soldier, and am looking to get into USPSA. I've been shooting my entire life and reloading for most of it. I'm normally mostly a rifle guy, but need to work on my pistol shooting, and USPSA seems to be the single most accessible form of competition shooting. I have lurked for a while here, but finally made an account, and am looking forward to learning more and contributing where I can!
