Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for the clarification. I assume the same situation applies to letting shooters know when registration has opened?
  2. We just switched to Practiscore this year from Uberscore. We don't have a decent internet connection so Practiscore has been much more efficient. Anyway, I'm having trouble emailing scores to shooters after the match. I have them uploaded to Practiscore.com, but when I click email shooters (on android tablet) it opens up in Gmail with a link in the body, but the "To:" field is blank. Any suggestions? Do I need to manually create a group that contains the emails for all shooters? I imagined that Practiscore would do this on it's own. Thanks.
  3. I used the 773's last year at multiple major matches. That being said, I'm very disappointed with the fit on 126mm STI mags. After loosening the tension screws as much as possible, I had to remove the bottom "roller", just so I didn't have to man handle the mag to get it out of the pouch. Now every once in a while, a round will get knocked out of a mag and will sit in the bottom of the holster. That really sucks on a stage when you're planning on having that round in the mag. Honestly I've been unhappy with Safariland in general. They sent me 3 different 5199 holsters, none of which fit a railed 2011. I had to do my own research on which models would fit, they would not recommend a holster for me. So after 6 months of trial and error, I've finally given up on them. I'm still searching for a new rig that will be IDPA legal, that I can also use for Limited. I'm open to suggestions.
  4. This was not the case with Safariland. I've still yet to find a Safariland holster that will work with a railed 2011. It is a CKA frame, not sure if that is the issue or not. They've sent me 3 holsters, none of them have fit. First was for a LDC 2011, Second a Railed 1911, Third was a SDC 2011.
  5. There are tons of CK vs STI vs whatever threads on this site. They are a great balance between a factory STI and a full custom gun. Both Matt Cheely and Bobby Keigans do fantastic work and have great reputations for quality and service.
  6. Thank you Mark! The 'New Shooters Guide' has a lot of great info.
  7. I did not even noticed that's aluminum. Are just shooting minor? Why did you not get the heavy steel? They look exactly the same as the steel ones so it's impossible to tell. It's mostly a minor gun yes, built for IDPA. Which is also why I went aluminum instead of steel. If I had Bobby build a Limited gun, it would be a 5.5" butler cut, full length rail, with lightening cuts, fluted barrel and steel grips.
  8. Hey that gun looks familiar I'm actually running the Aluminum CKA grip. I really like the texture, it's aggressive when holding it but feels great when shooting. The overall size seems smaller than a factory STI grip, but probably similar to a contoured one.
  9. I use the 773's on an ELS but they're very tight on STI mags and they don't seem to be loosening up at all. I feel like the bottom rollers are too big in diameter. Anybody else experience this?
  10. We have some PVC tube walls with orange construction netting that are quick to set up. We've found that if you put some rebar or some other weight inside the legs, it really helps them from being blown over. They work great for USPSA but are not stable enough to use as cover in IDPA. Similar to these but out of PVC
  11. GunBroker has some http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=515715756#PIC
  12. Damn I knew I shouldn't have read this thread... time to start saving for a MBF!
  13. I'm using the 2-8x32 M223 BDC 600 on my 16" AR and it has worked well out to 300yds. I haven't shot long enough distance with it to really test the accuracy of the BDC but it works well on 12" square plates. I got it during a promotion where you got the M223 mount with it for free, definitely a good deal.
  14. I like how it's sorted by headstamp! Easily my least favorite part of reloading and well worth the extra cost. Thanks for the link.
