Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Allow me to clarify my post. I was referencing the Witness match original version which has the stainless frame and the black upper in all its calipers. Great starter gun I believe it's still in the mid 600 price wise new. I'm sure the newer match or should I say I hope it's just as good Sent from my SM-J260T1 using Tapatalk
  2. I shoot plates at a club near my house and there's a lot of fellow Shooters there that use the Witness match as a starter gun. It's a very good shooter and the price is certainly easy to take when you're just getting started. In stock form it has a good trigger, but the gun cleans up rather nicely and its very easy to smooth the action out. Sent from my SM-J260T1 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks The flat trigger helps too! Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  4. One of the best guns I have with shooting Steel 40 caliber. I picked up another slide with better rear sights. And better grips and some normal polishing and this thing is a great shooter Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  5. Even one light strike is too many when you're at the firing line so to make it easier on troubleshooting I just put the 16 pound spring back in and with CCI primers it's good to go. Also with a trigger pull of two and a quarter pounds with just some normal polishing I've been pretty lucky with this gun Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  6. I tried a lighter hammer spring (14lb) and had light strikes, even with an extended firing pin. While experimenting, the trigger pull remained between 2.25 and 2.5lbs Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  7. The hammer spring certainly helps with light strikes Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  8. Mine does the same. Called CZ and they said it's inherent. Also said they would replace it if I wanted one. Good to know. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  9. I've also learned a lot reading the posts from High Power Jack. Now I have 3 more posts. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  10. I've learned a lot along the way also. Even from the Grumpy One and Sarge. It's all good. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  11. Habba8 here, just checking in. I see there's 103 replies to this thread I started. If I respond to each reply I would have over 158 posts. Seriously though, I sold a few things I bought a few things and everybody is happy. Isn't that the whole point. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  12. Second Time! Reinstalled tapatalk. Great to be back! Shoot straight! Sent from my SM-G550T1 using Tapatalk
  13. Now I feel important! I'm choosing my words very carefully. lol ?
  14. Well..... I drilled the screw out and to my amazement, I found another screw and worked it into the remaining threads and voila, Good to go! Thanks for all the replies
  15. Easy out was my first thought. Hope they make one that small. Drilling is not an option with the sight on the gun. I forgot to mention, I used blue threadlocker on the screw.
