Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Have to work, so won't be registering Thursday, that's why I needed to know Friday time.
  2. What time will registration open Friday morning, and will it be at the main office at the range?
  3. Had the same problem with mine. The factory tube and the Nordic tube aren't exactly the same size, so the transition isn't smooth. I took some fine sand paper and beveled the inside of the factory tube and the outside edge of the back of the follower, and I've put over 200rds through it since then without any problem.
  4. Does anyone have the match FFL contact info? I failed to get a copy at the match. Thanks!
  5. I thought I would ask this question here since I've emailed 2 people at 3GN 3 times over the past 3 weeks and received no response. In the 3GN series explanation there is a statement that we pay the balance of the entry fees at Friday registration in Florida. Does anyone know if there will be a Saturday morning registration opportunity? I know the matches are planned to start early, but since I'm not a true "professional" shooter, I would like to not have to take Friday off work and I could fly in later that night.
  6. I've cruised through this entire thread, so forgive me if I missed it, but what is the round count for the 3-Gun Nation match on Sunday? In regards to shipping ammo, that count would be helpful! Thanks!
  7. I was by there a couple of weeks ago and felt, handled and played with all the grips. I chose the tactical mp for mine! The one between the tactical and aggressive is nice as well. I got the new grip with the mobius cut-out.
  8. Does anyone have the contact info for the match FFL? They didn't send a copy with me to complete my transfer. I emailed the MD, but haven't received a response.
  9. Or you could do like I'm doing, since this match allows it, and shoot 2 divisions Problem solved! Adam
  10. I've been using this reticle since March and it really works well. Use the "horse shoe" for shooting the close in paper targets and it makes for fast shooting. I shoot 75gr Hornady out of an 18" barrel, zero it at 200yds, and the holds work just fine out to 600yds (I just haven't shot beyond that distance). Keep in mind that this is for 3-gun and the target sizes we shoot in that game. I'm not shooting sniper comps or benchrest matches!!
  11. If necessary for the division to count, I'll jump into Heavy Tac. I'm driving, so an extra rifle and ammo won't be a big deal. May be gametime decision.
  12. I sure considered it. I'm currently signed up for Tac-ops, but I want to shoot HM optics. But, not sure if enough people will be in HM optics to recognize the division, and that would require bringing along an extra rifle and shipping extra ammo, etc... So, then I thought I would just drive, but the length of that drive is a big negative. After all of this decision process, I considered just coming in for the 3 Gun Nation shoot-offs. Still thinking of options!
  13. I never said anything about getting rid of divisions! For the prize table this match was basically turned into a divisionless (is that a word?) match. Merging the percentages into a mass list of shooters is totally irrelevant in regards to your overall percentage, which is what the true order of finish should be base on. The percentage I shot in TO would not be the same when put up against only open, HI, HO, or TI. Merging them together is not a percentage for overall, it is still the same percentage you shot for the match in your division. I don't have a problem with trying this distribution method, but IMHO, and that't just what it is, in order to distribute in this way, you can't simply merge percentages, the match needs to be scored as one division. People complain that the prize tables are smaller for the smaller divisions, but that doesn't mean that TO shooters are guaranteed something better, because the competition is more fierce, at all levels, with a larger number of shooters. But, as long as everyone knows exactly what is happening going into the match, then they can choose the division of choice.
  14. The combined score now up on the RM3G webpage is how the scoring should be done for prize table distribution. That is you score based on the OVERALL match winner, head-to-head, straight-up, all divisions aside! Simply merging the percentages doesn't indicate anything about how you shot overall against the match winner. Take out each division winner, as was done, and allow them their own prizes, then go in the remaining order to walk the table.
  15. Here's one to contemplate Jake. Last year at DPMS we shot a pistol only stage (remember Kelly...they were 50pt stages ), two shots anywhere or 1A are the rules for that match. I think there were about 12-14 targets with 2 swingers. So, you could shoot 1 per target and not have to reload. Daniel Horner and myself shot EXACTLY the same time, he shot one per target and I shot 2 and had to do a reload. But when I finished, I was damn sure I shot it clean! Hang in there Kurt, it will work out for you someday!! Adam Popplewell
