  1. Thanks guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hi, I’ve been running my Colt Competition 9mm with 124 grain loads with a power factor of about 130. It’s time to change the recoil spring. Current setup is the original Colt dual recoil spring with short guide rod. For ease of purchase I want to switch to a regular guide rod and springs. What poundage springs do you guys recommend? 3. At 47, I finally have to face facts and start using multifocal lenses in my glasses. However, as an alternative for shooting glasses, my optometrist has suggested using different scripts for each eye. Dominant eye lens set to front site distance and weak eye with standard long distance script. I'm keen to find out from others shooting IPSC or IDPA if it's worth trying.
  4. Thanks for the answers guys. Didn't think about the adjustable site issue which is significant. Mod 15 it is.
  5. Evening guys, I'm looking to buy a good used revolver for SSR and have a choice of a S&W Model 15 or a Ruger Speed Six. Both are in very good condition. Up until now I've been shooting my very well worn Colt Python so I'm looking forward to something a little lighter and with a trigger pull that doesn't stack. I shoot at Marksman level and just hoping to get as best as I can with revolver in 38/357. Any opinions on the two options will be most welcome.
  6. Which aftermarket sites do you recommend for a Glock 17 for IDPA? Would your advice be different on the same gun being carried for SD? Best regards, Racingsnake
  7. Hi...just found this forum after buying Brain's book. A great source of information. Best regards, Racingsnake
  8. Good to hear, thanks guys.
  9. Do you guys recommend CZ Custom or Cajun Gun Works? Which parts would you suggest working on? The reason I'm asking is I'm travelling to the US shortly so it's my only chance to pick up a few items that will improve the gun. My intention is just to shoot IDPA ESP. I have no plans to shoot IPSC. Best regards, Racingsnake
  10. I've been looking at getting a CZ 75 B and then getting some of the competition items from Cajun Gunworks or CZ Custom.
  11. Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and new to sport shooting. I see that striker fired pistols like Glock and S&W are very popular in IDPA's SSP class but in IPSC the special competition guns and certain CZ models are very popular. I want to use a CZ75 for IDPA because I owned one before and I think the extra weight over a polymer gun may help recoil recovery. I know the two sports are very different but I was wondering why one does not see more CZs on the line in IDPA. Are these just my limited observations or do you think the CZ will be good for ESP competition in IDPA? Best regards, Racingsnake
