Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. WOW I didn't know that. Not that it maters now as I have 8lbs of Varget on the shelf. I like Titegroup in my .40, a little gose a long way.
  2. You may want to crimp just a little more. I do a push test when a am setting up my dies to run a load. I take a finished round in my hand and push it against my bench with moderat pressure and see if the bullet moves.. Like DR said .003 is not much to wory about....
  3. I agree. They are a sister company with Freedom Munitions, and their 180gn heavy plates shoot GREAT in my M&P. They also offer a .mil discount!I just bought another 1000. Jeff Agree100%
  4. I have used Berry's and liked them. But I have switched to the Extreme heavy plated and really like them. They are also running free shipping this month so I stocked up. Be fore warned the shipping is slow. They get them out the door quick but they have some deal with UPS that they move at a snails pace.
  5. Unfortunately I don't know anyone that wants to learn. I did not have anyone to learn from back 38 years ago when I first started. Did a lot of reading back then and learned a lot and really never had any problems. But knowing what I know now I was lucky. I wish I had someone to mentor me back then. Would I teach someone, in a heartbeat[emoji106][emoji106]
  6. .40 being put down range through a M&P with a 4 1/2" barrel. 4.2 gr TG under 180 gr RNFP heavy plated Extreme 1.25. 968 fps. Just load 100 rounds with 4.6gr to try out on my next range day.
  7. Most big departments replace their hardware on a set time frame. So when state troopers or large agency do it you will see a flood of used come to market. Not all are changing models or calibers.
  8. I am using Lyman dies and have never had an issue. 5k plus .40 and counting.
  9. As said before, see what you can find. I use tight group, Long shoot and Power Pistol. If you are using Extreme heavy plated they hold up well to high pressures.
  10. This is what I use, 60" tall folds up nice. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005KP473Q/ref=cm_sw_em_r_am_it_am_us?ie=UTF8
  11. That's some great info and interesting read, thanks. Will have to try a few....
  12. Have you heard anymore about this. I would be interested to own this $$$ X3
  13. I have the same issues as I am in a unfinished basement. I keep all my supplies in a cabinet and have a Golden Rod in there with a humidity meter to keep an eye on it. Like said most if not all come in plastic bottles and just keep them closed tight.
  14. I do the same thing when I take my rig to my camp. Just bolt it to a piece of aluminum and use those quick clamps to clamp it to my kitchen table.
