Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Just picked up a 5'' last week and did some function fire after a match on Sunday. The gun ate up 121 MG JHPs, and 135 Black Bullet RNs, which were all minor PF. Even tried out some 124 MG JHP major loads. After hearing all the issues with the included mags, I decided to just leave those at home and ran MBX mags without any issues. When I picked up the gun from my FFL last week, I noticed it was dry as as hell and could feel the slide hanging up in the last 1/4 inch before going into battery. Took it home, cleaned it per my normal routine lubed it like I would my open guns.
  2. Easy fix. Disassble the MRH and slightly sand down the surface that makes contact with the front of the trigger guard when holstering. The part that needs sanding is the thing that holds the metal ball in place. Key point is to sand a little, reassmble and test. You dont want to remove too much material. Also, after the modification, the holster will still work perfectly fine with PT and other grips. Attached are photos for reference. Part to be modified is circled in photos.
  3. I've been using a 308 ARGold trigger with an Iron City Rifleworks bolt for the past 2.5 years without issue. Only gripe I have about the ARGold is the side to side play. I used small strips of black electrical tape to create shims on the underside of the trigger housing to reduce the play.
  4. been using a 308 ARGold trigger in my PCC for the last 2 years. Currently using it with a Iron CIty Rifleworks bolt and a JP SCS buffer, which has been short stroked. I have not had any issues with reset, hammer follow or doubling. Should note that the Iron City bolt has a ridge on the bottom portion of the carrier, which aides in the reset of triggers.
  5. I recently picked up a 3d printed attachment that mounts to any hat with velcro. So far the footage I've captured with it is pretty good. It's a little pricey, but at least I wont have to permanently attach a mount to a hat. 6. Good stuff. Been meaning to check out SLOSA. I live in the Monterey area but usually shoot at Richmond. I was gonna shoot the roadrunner match this past weekend but had to withdraw. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  7. Congrats on the win with a broken sight! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  8. Mine had a Duracell battery initially. Switched to an Energizer and so far so good. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  9. Does the dot flicker or just completely goes out? I had an instance a few months ago where my dot flickered while shooting a stage. I changed the battery and seems to fix the problem. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  10. Yup. I had a PT evo on it and had julian switch it out. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. The turbo hbar setups run real flat with the loads we've developed here locally in the bay area. I've shot my buddy's beastcat... it's a real fast cycling gun but definitely prefer the turbo hbar with steel grip. Also I recently had one of Johnny's brass magwells put on my phantera and it flattened it out a little more. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. Im using one right now in my colt mag lower. Had to trim a little bit off my feed ramp to allow the upper and lower to close. Other than the slight modification, I havent had any issues. The coating makes it's super easy to clean. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. These were from the first open gun I used when I started back in like 97-98. Still got the gun too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

  15. I shot a turbo comp back in 98-99. It was and still is my favorite comp. Johnny actually brought back the turbo comp design back and is currently producing them. The new version does not have the bottom protrusion you mentioned though. Kincaid Ross is currently shooting a turbo comp along with some other limcat shooters.
