    Johnny Glocks

In my opinion Jonny Glock is really a good guy, and more of a type of giver than just a taker. I asked a lot of questions he's not trying to hide anything to how he does his triggers.
  2. what name brand? fits clean?
  3. I'd say having accurate slug, would be consistent group size. @ 50, 75 and 100 yards
  4. No expert either; but Tom from MOA precision would be able to help.
  5. Good all round LM choke. Tru-ball has (always) seemed inconstant on accuracy at least for my Stoeger , but listing to other's here there the most reliable. No never have run a Fiocchi 1300 fps, only 1150 fps very soft shooting. How did they compare to Tru-ball in your Stoeger
  6. Tru-Ball = reliability, but these are always all over NO consistency. Liked the Flocchi 1150 fps they worked and were very soft on recoi,l but due to the reliability issue I went with the Federals I've been trying to get these again, but they seem to be discontinued. Is there anything that's grouping for you guys:::
  7. Seriously Federal TRU-BALL slugs are junk for accuracy in a Stoeger
  8. update filled buffer with nylon spacers from ACE hardware = 1.10 oz.. adjust gas block again to lock open + 1/4 turn for cold weather reliability Now empty brass 3 o'clock
  9. Yea was going to start that again, Carbine Empty buffer is at 1 1/2 turns out to bolt locking back, and a 1/2 turn extra for reliability. Not much to work with. It seems that it might be about (tuning the buffer weight to each rifle) much like JP silent sys. Add or subtract weight till every thing is working as best it can = a compromise.
  10. Empty buffer; need Help in diagnosing why? Using a carbine buffer tube mid length gas system. With the gas block adjusted and a Empty carbine Buffer the brass is flying forward ( Not 3 o'clock). Changing only the buffer to a standard weight 3 oz.carbine buffer. The brass now ejects 3 o'clock.
  11. Add a comp, adj gas block, LW bolt, 10% reduce power buffer spring and empty your buffer. Adjust your gun so it locks open on a empty mag + 1/2 turn for reliability cold weather. Brass is ejecting 2 o'clock rifle is over gassed you cannot turn the gas down or the bolt will not lock back. Question add some weight back to the buffer
  12. Trubl; Do you sell a true 20% reduced spring, or make your own in house
  13. Easy; Remove the retaining pin. Place the buffer into a 2 ft piece of PVC with the ID the same as the OD of the buffer. Holding the PVC pipe vertical bonce it off the floor 3 to 5 times hard. should come out
  14. beweatt; call Tom MOA precision expert gun smith on MK3
  15. Thanks for your insights; It might be time to reload and see if you can squeeeeeeezes>> more out of it
  16. With very minimal improvement; Not sure why every top shooter runs some type of LW bolt carrier, or where this idea ever started..Any way you covered all the bases
  17. Biglou13; So in your opinion the test between a standard vs. a light weight bolt carrier there was NO change in the perceived felt recoil. 1st. were you able to reduce more of the gas using the light weight bolt carrier, 2nd. when running multiple shots (5) did your sights seem to stay on target better than before. I'd think adding a low mass carrier should creat less muzzle dipping, due to bolt carrier weighing less = less force slamming back into the barrel extension This is pretty much the JP formula.
  18. NICE BRO that's not a Open gun ^^ SPACE GUN
  19. So its No longer manufactured . There phone # is out of service. You snooze You loose
  20. I'm reading good things about Center of Mass holsters. But not sure if there still in business ? Also need a current phone # to get in touch with them. THANKS UP FRONT
  21. This is getting Very interesting Bigou13; I like how your going about this dealing with one issue at a time. Please explain ( your link is not working... SPRINGS; Do you use a 10% light buffer spring, cut a factory spring, or ?. BUFFERS taccom buffer=6oz., or empty carbine 1.15 oz. or? Having Bolt bounce, or NOT having enough energy for it to lock up constantly would be a concern = reliability.
  22. OP I'm with you on NOT being sure a low mass bolt carrier would really CHANGE the felt recoil that noticeable. Some have said that for the money it really did NOT. . JP enterprises has done ALL the development, and has a semantic plan / formula that works, and with years of experience behind them. The 3 parts of recoil to deal with, bullet leaving, buffer hitting the back of tube, and bolt locking back. AIM'S make a L.W. bolt carrier which for 1/2 the price can give you a sense or confidence. I'd like to here more from those who have experience in this
