Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I switched from Classic Minor to Classic Major (45ACP) part way through last year. I noticed that most of our matches in my area tended to have at least one stage that seriously disadvantaged those of us in Major with a few short courses that required a static reload. On a long stage I don't think it makes a lot of difference but the short courses it really hurts as all the others shooting Minor can complete it with one mag whereas I have to reload.... that's the choice I made though so I can't complain. The scoring advantage is handy as I do tend to shoot more than my fair share of Charlies. When shooting Minor I made it up to A Grade (but against a lot less competition than there is in the division now) since switching to Major I am still shooting my grade, haven't managed to get over 82% yet but there is a lot more competition in the division now... has Major helped? Hard to say because I really can't compare to how I could have shot using Minor. I am enjoying being able to use the 45 though
  2. The trouble is that if it allocated stock as to the contents of your cart they would end up with stock sitting around unsold for ages.Sometimes people put stuff in the cart then never end up finalizing the order. Doesn't make it any less frustrating in your predicament though
  3. It's a sad event for all involved and not what our sport/culture needs. I am all for teaching young ones a healthy respect and use of firearms but I think they need a little more consideration as to what you put in their hands before they are ready for it.
  4. I hadn't Sarge.... but I easily worked out what they were when you guys were talking about them.
  5. Yeah they are Patches over here
  6. I don't hear of many people using AP50N for Major Power Factor here in Australia. AP100 is pretty popular for it though. I use AP50N for 9mm Minor PF and have found it to be good.
  7. everything by Justin Beiber
  8. I tell ya what I am kind of glad they don't use the Texas Star in IPSC or I'd be zeroing a lot more stages... I sucked at it!
  9. Ok that's strange, they should have been in there. Mine were in the little zip lock bag that the 2 allen keys were in. I also mounted mine 90 degrees or I'd offer to send them to you.
  10. Where did you get them from? I recently got 5 from David Bailey and they came with the extra set of button screws to avoid this issue. I did find they had to be popped into place though but once in they didn't impede the function.
  11. My Smith & Wesson Pro Series after adding VZ Grips and Infinity Magwell
  12. You should have done the decent thing and shot it a few times to put it out of it's misery lol
  13. I made some rounds up with just the case and old gold coloured projectiles that I no longer use. My current loads have a deep orange projectile so they are distinctly different. The only thing I don't like is dropping a full mag onto the hard floor. I will load one mag with only three rounds and use it as the starting mag so it isn't hitting the deck with as much force.... I figure this is going to be closer to what the mag will have in it that I drop in a reload for a match anyway.
  14. Tried to order some parts (new guide rod & springs)...... can't get them sent to Australia unfortunately. Does anyone know of some sources for a replacement captured guide rod and IMSI flat wire springs that ships internationally?
  15. Thanks for the help. I'll order some replacement springs and start playing with some new loads
