Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I use one like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Folding-Collapsible-Multipurpose-Camp-Wagon/dp/B098N8B3FW/ref=sr_1_19?crid=1PKNPROG5DS2W&keywords=wagon+cart&qid=1657555823&sprefix=wagon%2Caps%2C359&sr=8-19
  2. Something like this: https://customfoldingwagons.com/collections/accessories/products/push-pull-folding-wagon-rain-cover-accessory
  3. I ordered one 8/20, it's supposed to be delivered 9/18. I found a couple other stores that had one for immediate shipping but I'm not willing to pay the premium they're asking. On a side note, I made a few orders at the same time and what normally takes 3 or 4 days to deliver, these took between 10 and 30 days. Didn't matter if it was USPS, UPS or FedEx.
  4. I've been having a real problem finding replacement mag springs. Nobody that I can find carries them. Metalform says they don't sell to private parties, Brownell and Midway says they no longer do special orders. Help please.
  5. Did one on a Ruger and didn't think it was necessary. Remember, you're trying to get off 5 shots very quickly, so squeezing the trigger probably isn't happening. Only thing I did on the Buckmark was flip the spring (Heggis Flip), not even sure that was necessary. I do add some epoxy and silicon carbide to the rear of the slide to make racking easier.
  6. Ok. If he's going to shoot optics, add a rail and a red dot. The slide racker might be handy if he has trouble gripping the slide. Mag base pads are nice, makes seating magazines easier. No need for extended mag release, if you need to do a speed reload, you've lost that string anyway. Tacsol barrels are pretty, not sure if it helps shooting though. I've got Rugers and Buckmarks. One Buckmark was very problematic. It spent the better part of a year going between gunsmiths and Browning service, mostly due to Covid restrictions and one incompetent gunsmith. Only parts I've had to replace on the Ruger was an extractor and mag springs, haven't had to replace anything on the Buckmark. I keep a few extractors on hand, just in case. It seems the Buckmarks take a little longer to break in than the Rugers.
  7. What type of shooting is he going to do?
  8. I've had good luck on Ebay for left handed holsters. Found some Safariland 773 mag pouches on Amazon. Safariland direct if you're in no hurry. BladeTec does catalog a left handed holster.
  9. I had the Ghost Strike plugs. Not too good. I invested in a pair for a little over $1k, best investement I've made, not good enough for open guns though. I double up with ProEars.
  10. Does it have the 3 mag pockets on each side in the upper compartment? If so, just put 2 mags in each pocket.
  11. I have a few of the folding wagons and a Rugged Gear cart. They each have their place. The wagon probably holds more but the RG cart is easier to push than it is to pull thr wagons. The RG takes up more space so it doesn't fit in my smaller car. Bad of the RG cart, won't fit a typical range bag, Solved that problem by using a narrow backpack.
  12. You're welcome. Glad I could help.
  13. No, the velcro "squishes". It's tight, but isn't that what you want?
  14. I put velcro on the inside of the TekLok where it mates with the outer belt and some on the outside where it mates with the inner belt. Seems to help some.
  15. Is the problem, the stock is too low? If it is, you might look into a riser, something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/172585947492
