Looks for Target

Looks for Target (4/11)

  1. Much more impressed with this . I watched Robert get pretty darn close to this at a course recently. Dude can run a gun.
  2. Bushnell DMR 3.5-21, Burris XTR 5-25, SIG Tango 4 in the budget line. Vortex Razor II or AMG, SIG tango 6 midrange price, Khales, tangent theta, USO ect in the high end priced glass. All of them will serve you well. I currently have a SIG Tango 6 5-30 on my 6.5 RPR and really like it. the eye box is not really forgiving though compared to some of the other glass out there, including the Razor II. I do like the SIG turrets better (I think...) over the razor II. The Tangent theta scopes are REALLY nice, but large and heavy. If you want to save some weight, go with the Razor AMG or the Khales.
  3. I have a daa belt and a cr speed. My prod/3 gun rig is on the daa. It was tight, but i got it all on there. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. I recently installed a kickeez and I think it is bump firing because of it. I had about 3000 rounds through it before the Kickeez. Today I had 2 doubles out of it. Ideas?
  5. Watch a few youtube videos on 1911's and you will have it back together easy. I have a 1911 techmat thing (mousepad with a 1911 diagram) in case I have a brain fart...
  6. M2 and I love browning, I have about 10 browning something or anothers in my safe... More aftermarket parts, longer history in 3gn. If you break an M2 I would be beyond shocked. Ask Pat Kelly or taran about how many rounds they have in their M2's. Another cheaper option would be a Stoeger 3000. There is a intensivly long M3K thread on here with lots of details. I have one and love it. it has been extremely reliable. is it an M2? no, will it slow me down, no.
  7. I have a glock 34 that I REALLY like. I also started with 1911 platforms in competition. I have found that since I also carry a glock daily (19 and 42 off duty) the transition was easy. I have also found that my times with the glock are better overall than now with the 1911 as I am used to it. That said, if you go to a 34, you will either have to shoot lim minor, or production.
  8. I guess I was lamenting on the price of re-barreling compared to the price of the rifle, they also have a special barrel nut that is not standard (I guess)... so $675 plus smith work on a $1000 rifle just seems a bit high. But I suppose when you look at the price of a bartlein or other high quality blank for a 700 action, its not out of line.
  9. When I first did it this afternoon, I was averaging about 3.25. After 4 beers I am about 3.75. While slower, that is better than I figured I would be Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. Yea they are probably the best buy in the precision market right now. Only downside is they cost a small fortune to rebarrel.
  11. Yea suppressed is certainly the plan. I have a .22 silencer locked up in jail right now, but will have it long before I start him shooting rimfire.
  12. I havent heard of these. Closest thing I have seen around here is high school trap and I think even that has gone away.
  13. This is a fantastic training tool for movement. Especially if you live in the city and cannot shoot every day like us country folks . But even with a private range, I cannot shoot every day for a bunch of reasons. I did have an airsoft at one point but it broke after a few years of hard use. I actually got it while deployed from a shop in the community one day on patrol. It was mainly used to harass the other dudes in the platoon nothing like a few airsoft pellets to the @$$ when you are walking out of the shower Word of caution on airsoft in the city, some areas (and neighbors) will ho bat snit crazy seeing "a man with a gun", it may be fine but it may also be frowned upon. Makes me happy to have a home range, even it 18yds is the current max distance. Will be adding some movement areas to it, for sure. Yea thats a good point. You can always shoot down a long hallway or a basement inside if your town doesnt like seeing grown men running around with guns!

  15. I have some demo sigs coming in. Pretty much everything but the 1-6 are backordered, but I should see that one here shortly. And shooter steve, i do like the PST logic. They have been pretty decent from what i have seen. It just seems that the glass gets much better if you throw a few hundred at it
