Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. now that is science at work.the procedure may be a tad over kill but the final analysis was well worded.the damm things are well built.
  2. I can't read what I typed before,it must not have been important.any way i have loaded for a few yrs. 9mm and now 40sw.have not loaded any powder other then alliant bullseye.it burns clean shoots well not too expensive I look at this way if it broke don't fix it.
  3. if you don't mind the drive there are ranges north of Tampa one in dade city on rd. 52 and another in hernado county.look up PHEONIX GUN CLUB on the web.I shoot there every week and it is a small range but well maintained.am a member there for two yrs.not fancy just right to shoot holes in paper.
  4. not too fancy more plain jane.Have only loaded one powder in the 9mm and now my 40 sw.alliant bullseve has worked well for me,not too dirty very consistent and not too expensive.has worked well for me so if ain;t broke don't fix it.
  5. I purchased a set of recoil springs and hammer springs for my sig 229 in 40sw.the fatory springs are a bear to slide the slide and lock, well replaced the recoil spring with same lbs. as the sig and reduced the hammer spring one lb.the wolf springs did make a improvment with easier slide recoil and the hammer spring 1 lb reduction was very well come.did improve my shooting some which is all ways well come it was money well spentl
  6. I WAS A LEE OWNER FOR SOME YRS. WENT THROUGH THE NIT PICKING PRO 1000 TWICE.THEN DUE TO PURE FUSTRATION AND Anger at doing more adjusting and decaping from poor loads.Damm I saw the light I bought sdp, holy mother I now load a weeks shooting in a few hours with out any nit pickingadjusting and no none nill decapping.I shoot only 40 sw so the small press (which I do love)loads as many with great results as both lees but together.AMEN
  7. I life in hernado county and would travel to a new range in wildwood if it passed by the county commisson to allow the shooters in sumter county there right to bear arms and have a range to pratice that right.
  8. first make sure you want to reload, why you wish to reload and how often do you shoot.research the the brands of press and type of reloading you want to get involed.there is much more to reloading then lets just do it and buy equipment that next month or so you want to stop or never get started.reloading takes an person that is mechanically inclined and some what skillfull with there hands. And patient to pre plan furture loads as to bullet gr. and powder gr.,but it is fun to shoot what you reload.good luck what ever way you go to load or not to load that is the question.
  9. ;) you only write about the sizing of the case.how many rounds have loaded with the bullets seat and crimp?I have never used the type of press or method you are using so am lost as were you are in a finished bullet.
  10. am amassed with my sd press.only one problem that I fixed promtly was a object in the small primer tube that was lodged and removed.never did see the object it disappeared on the shop floor.thanks for the reply on your impression of the dillon presses and equipmeny.
  11. shot the first loads from my sdp and the new barstow barrel.Had to look behind to make sure it was me that was hitting the target. My sig 229 has all ways been right on but have had barstow barrels in other 9mm and 45 cal pistols.the difference was very apparent that I did the correct change in the press and the barrel, even shcked my self.
