Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Ok, don't worry about it you will get it. #2 gripper CCS close is a great close and really great for shooters.
  2. Hey DonovanM, did you already close that #2.5 gripper? I hope so.
  3. Thanks for the answers guys. I will order the book also.
  4. If I have this kind of problem. I would train my weaker hand with very high intensity for giving it everything I got. After that I would try to give my best workout to my stronger hand. My main goal should be bringing my weaker hand so strong as posible and hoping tuhat to happend. I hope this will help you. Good luck! :-)
  5. I ordered both and I am waiting them to arrival. I just can't wait to see them. Do I need book also? How about training log?
  6. My program is not a secret. I train twice a week. First warm up reps (3x#1 , 1x#1,5 , 1x#2 , 1x#2,5) after that I try to close #3 gripper three times and if I can't I help for my other hand and close the gripper. I try to keep it closed as long as I can. Then I open my hand carefully and try it again after 8-10 minute rest period. That is all. Works for me. Just don't overtrain my friend told me and I just belived them. My friend are Grip Monster as you can see in my earlier post. I hope this will work for you also. Use Ironmind Rubber Bands also. I you can close #2 with credit card close you should be preatty close to close #2,5 with deep set. Good Luck!
  7. Yes, I know personally this referee/host Kimmo Kokko and I have seen this guy Teemu Ilvesniemi also. My friends Matti Heiskanen MM1 (Mash Monster 1) and Juha Harju MM2 (Mash Monster 2) and CoC #3 (Captain of Crush #3) were there where this vid happend. Mash Monster is deep set close. Here is my friend Juha Harju cert his Mash Monster 2 and he manage to do not only 1 rep but 3 reps with MM2 cert gripper and he was 42:nd man to close this gripper in the world. This I call power. I was there to witness this certification. http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?showtopic=37842 Here Kimmo Kokko vid and judge when I close his CoC #3. You can identify his speech. You hope can see STI logo on my chest.
  8. Word is Bob Vogel can close a #3 with a deep set. Another thing in a long list that makes me hate him.... I hope you don't hate me guys. I happend to have ok grip even I didn't need to train it very hard. I guess I am lucky. I got those grippers and I could close CoC #2 at the first time I tried it with wide opening. Second time when I tried them my friend told me how those grippers should close with deep set I managed to close CoC #2,5 with deep set. It was something like 2 months that I could close CoC #3 first time with deep set. Here is vid for it. I hope you enjoy it. It brings nice memories. First time is always first time. If I can do it you can do it.
  9. Well, you sure have firm grip. Close #3 with credit card set means you should be able to close #3.5 with deep set. That is reallly strong grip.
  10. Do you mean credit card close style (Ironmind) or deep set style (Mash Monsters) for that certification style? Rules for Closing a No. 2, No. 3, No. 3.5, or No. 4 Captains of Crush Gripper 1. The gripper must be an authentic IronMind Enterprises, Inc. Captains of Crush® Gripper 2. The gripper cannot have been modified or tampered with in any way. 3. Chalk (magnesium carbonate) may be used on the gripping hand, but rosin, tacky, etc. are specifically disallowed. 4. The free hand may be used to position the gripper in the gripping hand, but the starting position can be no narrower than the width of a credit/ATM card, and the gripster must show the official that he has an acceptable starting position by using his non-gripping hand to slide the end of a credit/ATM card in between the ends of the handles. Once this is done, the official will give the signal to remove the card and begin the attempt. Any contact between the non-gripping hand and the gripper as the card is being removed will invalidate the attempt, and the non-gripping hand must stay at least a foot from the gripping hand at all times during the squeeze. Similarly, nothing may be in contact with the gripping hand or the gripping arm from the elbow down (for example, the free hand is not allowed to steady the wrist of the gripping hand or hold the spring, etc.). The entire squeeze must be clearly visible to the official: the gripper cannot be closed while blocked from view and then turned and presented as already closed. 5. The gripper must be held with the spring facing up. 6. The handles must touch completely.
  11. +1 I also train only twice a week to the failure with CoC grippers. I closed CoC#2 with credit card wide at the first time I tried it and when I learned to set the gripper properly in my hand I closed CoC#2,5 with parallel set. It took 2 months to closed my first CoC#3 and after 4-5 months I closed CoC # 3 which was calibrated excatly with RNC rating 68 kg / 150.11 lbs / rating = 3.00 and judged by official judge. So I know you can increase your grip strenght with good grippers. You only need 3 of them to work with. Good luck!
  12. How wide are your ports 1st 2nd 3th 4th ones?
