Is yours the steel challenge version? That doesn't sound like what I remember under my normal version when I replaced the handguard. I made no effort to remove/rotate the barrel, and it was straight forward so I didn't spend much time poking around. The barrel was roll pinned to a collar that goes in the receiver(maybe that's threaded I don't know). The only thing I had to do was shorten the roll pin to clear the new barrel nut, and torque it down. I only went to 40 so maybe 60 is too much?

I made plugs from old SP01 front sights I had laying around. They’re cheap if you want to hang onto the oem front for later. I use a plate so my optic is up pretty high, but I kept snagging my hand on it and it served no purpose.

I played with them for a while on SP01 Shadows. There were two generations and I had both. I don't think the pistol flipped any less but it seemed to settle back more smoothly giving me a better idea of where my sights were before breaking the next shot. I thought it helped with shot calling but my splits were the same either way. I liked the feel but didn't like that I was married to their springs, which at least at the time were hard to get hold of. It's not a night and day difference but back to back I liked the feel of the DPM. Since then I've moved to single stacks and Shadow 2s for production and didn't think it was enough of a difference to mess with buying more.

Your hands may be smaller than mine, but if so not by much. I'd recommend a short reach kit from CZ Custom. It puts the trigger in a better place so your initial double action pull has your finger in the right spot instead of on your finger tip. It's the best of both worlds, short reach to trigger and better feeling 85 Combat trigger profile. If your dead set on it I'll look around tomorrow and see if I kept an old SP01 trigger.

I think I've used every dot out there, starting with a Beven ruggedized Docter in the 90s. I use the FFIII exclusively now. I prefer 8moa dots for CO and PCC at the distances we shoot, and they've held up as well or better than everything else I've tried. I have a list of demands and the Burris checks all the boxes. Battery is accessible without removing optic, repeatable clicks for adjustment, manually set brightness, full off position, decent lens clarity. I've had two issues with a Burris, neither of which resulted in an unshootable dot. One was the window over the emitter coming loose, and the other was the button becoming increasingly difficult to use. In both cases I sent the dot in and received a brand new one a week later. In my experience, and seeing other high round count shooters, all dots will fail. It's easier to have spares when they're $200

That's exactly what they are, and what they're for. They're 3D printed from TPU, a flexible material and are intended to provide a better grip on the 20's when reloading. They also protect the sheet metal floor plate if you're dropping them on concrete or rocks..

I've done a couple and didn't use anything other than a vice, hammer, and punch. If those weren't working and I had to pick one I'd try heat to the slide.

The skives in the Zero 147 jacket catch the mag catch slot of the SP01 mags. 1.10 was still catching, and attempts to chamfer the slot didn't help. My solution was Mec-Gar mags.

I think I have, or have had most grips available for CZs including the scales. I liked the feel I just couldn't get past the open design. In the unlikely event of a case rupture I didn't want to have those grips on the pistol. My favorite by far are the new LOKgrip Bogies with the mag catch relief. In the past I used one of these. I have two BOSS hangers. I used the screws they came with and both are on DAA belts without issue.

I have the cajun EZ/D sights on a P01 and it hits point of aim at 25 yds if that helps you.

I just worked up a load using the SNS 135 for a CZ SP01 Shadow. oal: 1.06 3.45gn VV N320 right at 129pf Barrel was slightly reamed to allow MG 124JHP at 1.10 There was no noticeable change in accuracy from reaming. I can stay in the headbox at 25yds before and after, that's about all I can manage with iron sights.

15 seems excessive, I toss 5 and no issues. Have you made sure there's not something like a piece of styrofoam from the powder keg seal in your powder measure? I'd also recommend checking to make sure the powder bar is completing a full stroke in both directions. If the failsafe rod isn't returning it fully or the case isn't pushing the measure all the way up you can get erratic drops and reactions to adjustment. Not really needed but there is the uniquetek micrometer adjuster for Dillon powder bars. Finer threads so better resolution, repeatable settings, and less backlash.

I have shot a match or 2 and the first thing I thought was.......the shooting area is the top of platform and even pointed it out others in the squad. I thought the same thing Thursday and wondered why guys were shooting from the stairs.

I was there Thurs afternoon and watched people shoot from the stairs without penalty. When I asked they said that was okay. On Friday we weren't allowed to do that. I was one of the guys who said to arb it and left Friday sure the stage would be thrown out. I guess I should have stuck around. Ill try to shoot Thursday next year.

I've had mixed results with the FCD using coated/lead bullets. Did you measure the bases of the pulled bullets and see if the FCD was swaging them down with thick brass?

It's one of the less smoky powders I've used with lead or coated. The quality of the coating, or more specifically the quality of the coating application process, can make a big difference. Also make sure you're not scraping it off when seating, or cutting into it when crimping. Uncoated lead will be pretty smoky but you may find it acceptable depending on wind, sun angle, etc... I prefer coated.

What pistol and barrel length were you using? Curious because I suggested someone try this and he doesn't have a chrono.

I just have the regular P500. I've used it on Glocks and CZs and haven't needed the top clamp that the Pro adds. I could see that helping on a Sig 320 or a P09 though.

4" for an optic 5.5" for irons

I use the lula colt 9mm smg loader for mine. Works great.

My hands are smaller than some of the ladies super squad and I've found the CZ to be the best fitting pistol. I don't get a lot of finger on the trigger for the DA shot but that's such a small part of matches it hasn't been a problem. pic is my normal firing grip with the hammer fully down.

What bullets are you using? Have you chambered a fired casing with a bullet in it to see how far out you can load? The ogive on that round you showed could be engaging the rifling. When you lay one of the fail rounds on a flat surface is there any lip from the flair remaining?

When I've spoken of reaming, or heard others speak of it in relation to CZs we were talking about opening up the throat of the barrel using a throat reamer; to allow loading longer without the bullet hitting the rifling. Not adjusting the headspace at all. You seem to be asking about changing the headspace which I've never needed and I use any brass. In my experience pistol brass gets shorter, not longer with use. Brass thickness can vary quite a bit and cause inconsistent crimp issues but the length has always worked for me. Based on the issues you're describing I'd check the crimp on your loads, as in probably add some more.
