Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I had a gun once that the reverse plug was to long. When in battery, the plug touched the comp, which pushed the plug back into the gun. It wasn't much but just enough. It shortened it and everything was good. This gave me fits until I figured it out. Just a thought.
  2. There is a lot of things I could say about Sean and Power Factor Shooting...................But the last 10 post pretty much say it all. Great to deal with!
  3. I vote for USPSA Pistol on the second weekend. My wife and I would make that trip from North Florida. Back to back with tri-state would knock a lot of people out.
  4. Would I be better to go with a factory oversized first if I'm going to open the window to match the hand. The Power custom hand is .103 The original hand that was .093. The hand that I fit to the window is .099 Thanks
  5. Thanks Warren, Is that a better solution than getting a new (old style) extractor and fitting it?
  6. Sure, the only touchier issue is the Hand may need to be trimmed for length. I've not run into it, but the info came with a Powers Kit. Try Brownells or Numrich Arms. I'd definitely do that before changing the window. And if you do decide to widen the window, Brownells sells a file specifically for that. I've tried Brownells, no luck there, they do have the new style. I have a window file I just don't want to use it. The only time I've ever used it was replacing a cylinder stop. I'll try Numrich.
  7. I stoned the hand to fit the window. I cleaned the yoke barrel and used dummy rounds. Can a star be fit to the old style cylinder? That's really what I'm driving at. Where does one get the old style star? I've worked on a ton of k-frames, (Armorer at a prison for several years) I either replaced the hand with an over sized, or put a new style cylinder in the gun and used a ratchet cutter to fix this issue. This is my first real experience with N-frames. Over sized hand didn't work, and I can't just go to my parts bin and grab a new style cylinder and cut the ratchets. Thanks
  8. I have a pair of 25-2's neither carry up while slowly pulling the trigger double action. I replaced the hands with the over sized power hands, but they still DCU. This tells me the ratchets are worn. What are my options from here?
  9. I've had the midway bag, the 511 bag, the CED bag and the SC bag. I've given them all to new shooters except the SC bag. There is really no comparison in quality. The SC bags are awesome. I use the big bag and my wife uses the tournament series bag. I only carry the inner bag away from the truck. If I have a lot of ammo I'll put the strap on the inner bag.
  10. I wasn't really concerned to much about the range. I was however concerned about the crew. Glad to hear you guys are good. See you guys soon.
  11. It was a great match for those of you who missed it. The weather was nice, the stages were excellent and everything flowed really smooth. Really a very good match. I'm marking this one down for next year. Thanks to squad 3 and the match staff, especially the singing RO's of stage 7.
  12. I think you used to could, but I haven't shot IDPA since early 2005. Back in 04 your classification was on a hand written card. When you sent in an app for a state match they had no way to verify your class, but after you shot that state match there was a record of your class. I'm sure things are much more sophisticated now days. I've been thinking about shootin an IDPA match, might be fun.
  13. It's understandable, though. That's part of what makes IDPA IDPA. It's part of their branding. They're 7up, the uncola. They're flame broiled. They eat more chikin. Back when I shot Bullseye matches, the classifications were the same as they are in IDPA now. Marksman through Distinguished Master. This isn't new terminology, I was a DM in bullseye years ago
