  1. Hi Dave, Most of us that have or have had several STI's will say they are all good guns, and you can't go wrong.. In fact I even know a couple of guys that are quite pleased w/ their Spartan's which are the low end versions but still apparently quite good. There is no doubt your can spend a BUNCHA $$ in no time if you're not careful.!! Good luck w/ it and let us know what you decide on.! Eric!
  2. There are some great clubs up there.. 'Not sure where Dickson is, but I know N.E., TN. has allot of shooters.! Welcome aboard.!! Eric
  3. Yah Paul.. You screwed up that was a freakin' NICE blaster.!!!! (I recently sold off my Eagle 5.0 Custom, I know how you feel.. )
  4. I liked it way better with the first grips. Very nice either way I don't know about WAY better, but I too preferred the 1st set.. Man this is a freakin' nice gun.!!

  6. It's a PIA for certain, the channels need to be widened and they are a tad long, all as stated above.. It's max cool and I've done it on all my Double Stacks, but if you're not well versed I would definitely hire a 'smith that knows how to do this particular mod...
  7. 'My latest, and likely to be last for a good long while, "Do it all" gun... 'STI, Duty One, .45ACP w/ adjustable black serrated rear sight, a "High Dot" tritium front (Instead of my preferred RFO front) sight since this is now a competition and carry/ home defense gun.. Wilson internals and hammer. Trigger tuned to a perfect 3.5#. (Will have my VZ ETC's once they return from VZ for thumb relief cut..) Gun makes weight for USPSA & IDPA.!! (41.34oz. w/ ICE & mag bases..)
  8. I had gotten rid of the Glock, got tired of track marks on the web of my hand and went to the M&P.. The M&P went away when I got my Edge a while back and it was perfecto.!! At present, I'm back to 1911, SS though.. If I had MY rathers, it'd be the STI for you, but.. You can do SUPERBLY w/ a Glock w/ practice.. Several of my friends run circles around me w/ their Glock's, M&P's and S.A. XD's..!
  9. I did a G-35 then a 5" M&P .40 w/ some good results, but when I went to my beloved Edge, I improved noticeably..
  10. It's an old SV aluminum that has been pretty extensively modified to fit the IDPA box. Probably removed nearly half the metal, filed, sanded and polished to a mirror finish. That is FREAKIN' nice bud..!

  12. 'Not an idiot I'm sure.. 1st, go here: Click this link Open a free account there, then follow the tutorial on their website on how to add pics to your account. Once you have your pics there, you can hit "Add reply" or start new topic, etc.. Then, above the text box you'll see a mini 'lil square "Painting" icon and when you howver over it w/ your curser it'll say "Insert Image". If you don't figure it out, I am pretty sure you can use the search feature on this site and find the directions too..
  13. I agree..! Excellent sound, I watched it last fall in Blu-Ray right after adding my 500w, 15", down-firing sub-woofer to my surround system.. If you guys don't have a sub, you NEED one to fill in the experience, even if it's a smaller or even passive woofer, it'll amaze you how much that add's...
  14. Ha ha.. I did beat yah to that one..! Gotta add a few to the list: The Dogs of War Dog Soldiers The Wild Geese Where Eagles Dare The Siege of Firebase Gloria (IMHO - One of if not the best Vietnam War movies ever done; (Assuming you can handle "Gunny" - Lol) shows the perspective of both sides..)
  15. I think what makes it seem really awkward is the pic w/ the gun cradled in the left hand.. Perhaps the answer is to go w/ an even lower thumb safety, thinking perhaps the weak side hand would actually hold it down/ disengaged when the grip is established? Link - Gunsite low thumb safety I guess it's a GIANT HANDS thing.. Myself, I have wide palms and somewhat short thick fingers so don't have this predicament.. 'Seems like I may have offended someone and I promise that was not the intent.. BTW - I'm done w/ this thread too.. Sorry sperman
  16. So.... You grip your gun w/ your right hand to draw... Then... You loosen your grip to hold the gun w/ your weak hand, then... You re-grip it backwards? Your right hand thumb should already have disengaged the thumb safety and laid on top of the safety paddle by the time your weak hand is "Set..." It's more of a "Cradling" action... IMHO the grip I see in these pics is a bit awkward, and not a particularly viable way to go... I found a quick example online of a descent, perhaps slightly loose grip.. 17. It's Michonne, with her pet zombie boyfriend and best friend with their arms and lower jaws removed. It helps her hide amongst the zombies. Who is Mersheron or Michonne?
  18. Here's my W.A.G.. It's the Brother that was left chained on the roof and he has a couple of pets...
  19. Ronin Scarface Heavy Metal Midway Tora Tora Tora Kelly's Hero's many more!
  20. Audia6 - Thanks allot, I am sure pleased! It shoots amazingly well but hasn't seen a match yet.. Next Sat it finally will.
  21. Perhaps they left the bar just before they got up? I always thought in the Zombie flicks thatall the dead will rise unless their brain pans were dented or they were "Scattered" or charred extra well done..
  22. He was gonna kill Rick, but Rick stabbed him in the chest at the last moment.. His son shot Shane when he became a Zombie.. Did you see the hundreds (looked like to me anyway..) of Walkers coming across the field right at the conclusion? Yikes.!
