  1. The trigger overtravel screw was removed completely to eliminate it as a variable, but the problem remains.
  2. Hello all. I have a brand new shadow 1 with no modifications with about 200 problem free live fire rounds. However in dry fire, a single action trigger pull will cause the hammer to fall only to the half cock position about 50% of the time. I’ve removed the overtravel screw completely for troubleshooting purposes. I can get in contact with czcustom this coming week, but if it is something easy I could fix myself without having to send it back, that would be my preference. Thank you for any help.
  3. Hello, I have a new shadow 1 that is stock except for a 13lbs hammer spring and Cajun return spring. When using a pin and reset technique, the hammer will slip from single to double action when firing the next shot. Even though it is still the small pull distance in single action, it is the pull weight of double action. I can feel the hammer slipping from one "ledge" to another, with the full double action pull weight. If I let the trigger return all the way, it functions normally. Any ideas?
  4. Hi folks, I picked up a new STI Spartan 5 9mm a couple years ago, got frustrated with technical issues and threw it in the back of the safe. Well I want to get it running now. On firing the last round, the slide stop will slip off the mag follower and snag underneath it. The slide is now locked back (normal), but the mag cannot be ejected without manually ripping it out of the mag well as the follower is now snagged on the slide stop. This is with Dawson precision and the supplied STI mag. Viewing the pistol without the slide there is minimal contact with the slide stop and mag follower, far far less than typical on the many other 45 1911s I own. So, the slide stop is just sliding off the mag follower. I've changed slide stops and sent the pistol back to STI, but issue remains. I've thought about tig welding a bead at the end of the stop to give it more interface with the follower, but worried about ruining the heat treat on a part that takes a beating. Any ideas?
