Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have 9Lbs spring in my Springfield 1911 and reload for lower power rounds and it shoots all day. Try 3.5Gg N310 with a 185Gr LSWVHP and then join the local Bullseye club. MrFixitman
  2. Humm... I would not recommend using Factory ammo with anything less than a 12 Lb spring. And that maybe pushing it. MrFixitman
  3. Searching GunBroker.com is a good place to see what they are actually selling for in general. But you just have to think about the quality of the one you have compared to what is online. Something is worth what you can get someone to actually pay for it. MrFixitman
  4. in my Springfield 1911 I have had great results with 3.5 Gr of Vihtavuori N310 and a Zero 185Gr LSWCHP bullet. And switch the factory spring to 8 to 10# pound but remember not to use factory ammo once you switch the spring. MrFixitman
  5. Wow, I just picked up a new XD 40 and can't wait to change the rod and spring. This thing is hard to rack. My 1911 has 9lbs spring and I use reloads which is great for weekly shooting. M.Fixitman
  6. Forgot to mention. The 1100 has had issues with ejecting spent shells. Beside the normal fix of replacing the "O" Ring try switching Brand of Shells. I was using RIO's in my Beretta without a problem. But the Semi Auto 1100 did not like them . I switched to Remington and have not had a problem yet. MrFixitman
  7. Old, Short, Fat, Bald. :-) NRA Qualified Trap Expert. I shoot Trap weekly. Sporting Clay Shooter. Pistol & Rifle Shooter. Took 2nd Place in our IWLA Muzzle loader league in 2010 Shoot in an IWLA Indoor Air Pistol League in the winter. IWLA Range Safety Officer. Team Lead / Software Engineer MrFixitman trapshooters.net
  8. I switched the spring in my Springfield 1911 Loaded model to a 9lb spring and shoot a Zero 185 Gr LSWCHP bullet and use 3.5 Gr of Vihtavuori N310 powder. Works Great. MrFixitman
  9. I shoot Trap weekly and Sporting Clays 2 times a month. I use a Beretta S682 which can be a little costly to purchase for most but I also use a Remington 1100 Classic Trap 12ga and average 22/24 out of 25. Great gun for both Trap and Sporting Clays. MrFixitman trapshooters . net
