Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I love my 929 but as soon as I got it, I sent it to Joe at Mojo Custom to go through it. It was a wreck straight from the PC but Joe made it right.
  2. Website is a nice improvement, even though there are still a few things to tighten up. Looks like a WordPress-based site so extremely easy to edit moving forward compared to the coding that had to be done before. Hopefully we will see fresh content regularly. New password process was pretty straightforward. My iPad safari browser had my old password stored and the site recognized me immediately after entering my uspsa # asking me to create a new PW. Classifier data analysis should be pretty cool once it’s rolled out. ?
  3. Ha! Hey I resemble that remark...
  4. At this week's IRC in Frostproof, Annette Aysen announced locations for the next two International Revolver Championships. The 2018 IRC will be hosted by Mesquite Mayhem in Mesquite, Nevada and the 2019 IRC will be hosted by the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club in New Tripoli, PA. David Olhasso will serve as the 2019 Match Director. Shannon Smith did a great job hosting the last two IRC's at Universal In Frostproof. Hopefully the next two will be just as good.
  5. Not my favorite either. Who thought of these things anyway? Lol! I power through them when I have to, but a mike can really throw things off your plan. I try to build a secondary plan should that or something else happen. Like mentioned earlier, find the shooting positions on the first walk through, track the number of targets/rounds at each spot during the second, look for other options and decide the order of positions after that. If there's still time, find a quiet corner and walk through it in your mind, visualizing the entire stage including reloads.
  6. All my match ammo is with Federal for my 929 and 625 (both of which have had trigger work). However I’ve done some testing with Winchester primers in my 929 and have had good luck. The key is to make sure your primers are fully seated in the case for detonation. Primers should be slightly below the bottom of the case when fully seated. I have also successfully fired CCI’s but not enough to report reliable data.
  7. Call Joe at Mojo Custom, he did a great job on my 929!
  8. Tried to shoot revolver at A6 but was told that because only eight shooters were registered, it would not be a recognized division. They asked us to join L10 but two rounds at a Level III match is big so many of us switched to other divisions. PCC for me.
  9. Joe at Mojo Custom did my 929 and I love it. Give him a call, he will take good care of you. FedEx said it got delivered and he was calling a few minutes later to walk me through his work plan. Delivered on time as promised and it runs great!
  10. Joe at Mojo Custom does great revolver work. He slicked up my 929 and customizes his own hammer. Awesome service and the gun runs great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Had a great time shooting the Swamp Challenge with Cliff last weekend! Spoiler alert: we left our revos home - Cliff is shooting a dot in Carry Optics these days!
  12. Give Joe at Mojo Customs a call. He does great revolver work and he is very easy to work with. http://www.mojocustomguns.com/
  13. Love my Double Alpha Magnetic Racemaster! Fits my 929 and my 625.
  14. Update 4/10/16: New Armscor brass; 135 gr Bayou; 1.140 OAL; 3.5 gr Titegroup. 131.6 PF. No extraction problems. Sticking with it!
