Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Beretta cx4, have had it for years. Grip fed magazines and pistol controls. Reloads are just like a pistol. For some one without extensive time with an ar, all the controls are in the correct spot. 18 round magazines, factory 30rd and an after market 32 that fits 34rounds. since it is a pistol style receiver it is naturaly shorter than a rifle format without going to the hassle of a sbr. I have a 9mm ar and a scorpian. Still shoot faster with the cx4. Could be I've had it the longest.
  2. The last time I had any issues with my 41, I cleaned it and it ran good afterwords. It seems to like to be clean. What are you running for ammo?
  3. Would you be interested in trading for a 9mm W/O the safety? I have a friend that bought one without but wishes it had one. It probably doesn't have 2 boxes of ammo through it. We are in IL.
  4. I had to file the heck out of the bottom of the tactical sight for my 75b. It needs to have clearance under it. They say if it rests on the slide it will crack and break. It was very har to drive in. I filed it a bit also. I am very happy with the sight.

I have 2 I use in my 75b, no problem.
  6. I bought a nice used kit for my 75b. It works well. I've got a heavier Shadow hammer and a lighter 13lb hammer spring. For practice it works ok. I get a few light hits and just pull the trigger for DA. If I'm going to shoot a steel competition I take the time to put the stock hammer spring back in and have no problems. My practice area is in the woods. The 22 is nice because not only is it cheaper to shoot, I don't have to hunt for brass. I also have a S&W 41 that I recently bought. It is awsome! But they are both fun to shoot. I don't think you'll be sorry.
  7. I'm with Burningsquirrels on this one. I have a CZ75B with 13lb spring and shoot mostly federal, never had a problem. I'm also running a shadow hammer. Also using the stock firing pin not the extended.
  8. I'm actually in peoria IL. Thanks for the tip, I'll check him out.
  9. I just aquired a Winchester 22 lever action that is in need of a reblueing job. It was came form the DNR and the blueing was bubbled up off of the barrel and reciever on one side. I was told it probably had blood left on it. The wood is in fantastic shape and I don't believe the steel is realy dammaged much yet. Can some one point me towards a good shop to reblue the parts? The gun is nice enough that it deserves more than a home DIY job.
