Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I had three 1/8" out in this winter, LSI comp, 9mm 115 jpg, 7.8 WAC, and it made a very noticeable difference to me.
  2. This makes me feel better, will find out this weekend.
  3. OK, with guide rod and recoil spring removed there is drag but it appears to just be the hammer dragging on the slide. If the ejector is bent it isn't obvious, at least to my eyes. The recoil spring is roughly two coils shorter than a new one...put a new one in, will have to see if I get this in practice this week.
  4. Yes, I plan to to do that. Going to go try your other suggestion too on seeing if the slide binds on anything.
  5. Thanks, I will give this a try...if this doesn't work I will try the next one size up.
  6. OK, shot area 8 yesterday and had several times (10-20) where the slide didn't fully close, round did chamber but slide stopped 1/16-1/8 before closing. Have not had this issue during any practice or monthly match. I even went the extra mile and plunk testing 600 rounds into my barrel (I never do for practice or monthly matches) and all went in and came out great. Where do I start looking from here? Mags springs starting to fail? Recoil spring, currently use 8 pound variable.
  7. Thanks for the replies, I ended up buying the super small stuff from Grainger and the problem has gone away. Not sure what the problem is with tumbling loaded rounds but it is to remove the lube. 15-20 minutes and all is good.
  8. That's not a bad idea, not sure how to identify the size i got...
  9. I'll try the dryer sheets...I dump out into something similar to separate the media from rounds
  10. Hello, After reloading I throw my rounds into my tumbler with corncob media. It runs for about 15-20 minutes, when they come out the nose of the bullet is full of the media. So, do I worry about it? Mix something in media to prevent this? Other options? Thanks, Steve
  11. Thanks for all of these replies...I am going to order an 8V and give that a try before I pick final spring to run this with.
  12. Good question, as I am not really sure. I bought this used, the original owner had lone star cut their comp design in a trubor barrel blank. He also had slided lightened but I have never weighed it to know what it does weigh.
  13. I'm interested in knowing the difference as well
  14. Yep, that's pretty much my question
