Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Interesting.... Haven't ran across that before. If you happen to find a fix please share. If I have time today when I get off I will put it back on one of my lees to see if I can figure out what is going on. It's been awhile since I used it, and I can't visualize how it operates.
  2. That has been mentioned in this thread. Go back through the pages. Someone on here made a mod to fix ther issues and a lot of other ppl have liked it. 1) moly coated bullets do not work well with the bullet feeder. 2.) I textured the bullet fingers so it would grab and hold better. 3.) I used my heat gun an slightly. Changed the shape of the finger to allow it to grab better. 4.) I manually worked the bullet feeder....worked well! 5.) I removed the who system and and went back to using my hand and placing bullets on the brass Make sure your press and table are very sturdy.. No movement at all.
  3. The timming could really mess up the priming stage which will be an easy fix. it might off been off from the factory. i have loaded at least 3K through mine and just not adjusted the timing. also make sure you have the right shell carrier part. make sure its not a large pistol primer system and you are loading small pistol primers or vis versa. never load more than 100 primers in the holder at a time and make sure the primer slot is at least half way up. if it gets any lower you will have primer issues. make full strokes every time. if you have to stop the process make sure your indexing location is correct. thats all the advice i have. i love the LEE pro..have 3 for different dedicated calibers. all but one of them runs smoothly. the one i have for my 45acp can be a pain for priming and powder charge. my 40s&w has never had a problem due to the press. good luck and have fun getting addicted to you press.
  4. This is an it depends on your reloading method. If you tumble everything with walnut, then corn cob then probably not. If you pick the stuff off the ground and run it through your dies then you probably do. Ask me how I know! why would you not tumble the brass?
  5. Jeff how are you doing the cant? can you post pictures of it up close and how it works?
  6. its a no go on shooting at the match or even watching. i think she came up with somethign for me to do just to keep me from being around guns. maybe another time. Thank yall for the invite to the match.
  7. i have ad the same results for with the push through die as Chirpy did. as far as seeing the bulge...i only see it in the range brass i find that ppl either were shooting a hotter load or using factor ammo. i havent seen a bulge with my reloaded brass. the day before i decided to reload i will just tumble the brass for about an hour and run about 400 pieces through a push through die and retumble. if you only pick up your range brass and get you a KKM barrel you shouldnt have a problem with a bulge.
  8. you'll need some leg supports. maybe just one support on the far right corner

  10. if you have never shot Bayous before then you will fall in love with them. oh i have not experienced any issues with tons of smoke like "many" say they have.
  11. i take the loss and shoot minor for USPSA since i shoot more steel matches than USPSA. i just did load development for all of my powder and bullets. the Green in the table is where i like to be and Red is a no go either due to PF or trying to drop accurate gn charges with that specific powder.
