Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Trader, what effect does the weight of the recoil spring have on the extraction? I put a 14lb spring in......maybe thats the problem?
  2. I recently had Barsto make me a .40 to 9 conversion barrel. Most of the time it runs great, but sometimes it will not extract the round. Is there a different extractor in the 9mm X-five?
  3. Go ahead and save your money and get SJC to build your Glock 17……sure you can get the parts and make one that looks like it but it will never run the way you want it to. I have one and it is so nice to take your turn right after someones $3000 race gun poops out because of a their maglips arent tuned right or what ever, and your run goes off without a hitch. My SJC runs both major and non major loads…… and everything runs thru it. New brass, old brass, mixed headstamps, range pick up, its beautiful. And the trigger is to die for; a crisp 2.5lb break its almost as if you think that your pulling the trigger and the gun go off…….again take it from someone that saved for a year to get one…its worth it! All you will need to get in addition to that is some Taylor freelance Magazine extenders to go on your stock glock mags…..just do it!!!!
  4. Wide45 thanks for attaching Appendix D5. I had already read it and that is where my question originated since the Sig p220 is a John Browning design same as the M1911a1.The following paragraph illustrates this fact. Design The P220 operates by the locked breech short-recoil method pioneered by John Browning. On firing, the slide and barrel are locked together until, after a few millimetres of rearward movement, the barrel is cammed down at the rear after the pressure has dropped enough when the bullet has departed the barrel, whereupon the slide completes the rearward stroke ejecting the spent cartridge. The frame is of forged alloy with a hard-anodised coating. While designed for ease of production, the SIG 220 series is of the highest quality and there is no compromise in durability or functionality compared to pistols produced using more traditional methods. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked.
  5. Can anyone confirm or deny that a Sig P220 single action only can or cannot be used in single stack in USPSA?
  6. So I've started shooting lead to help my wallet out some. My Lymans 49th edition shows a starting load of 6.9grns of Bluedot for a 180grn lead projectile yeilding 979fps. I have searched the forum for three days with little info about bluedot and 180grn to make major. I use Bluedot for my 125grn lead 9mm and it shoots great not much smoke. Let me know if that holds true for the 180grn .40's thx
  7. I'm on the website but i don't see any kind of form to fill out of any kind under the "Wait list Header" How do you get on the wait list?
