Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. It is normal to have to change your grip to reach the mag release. Especially with a double stack mag.
  2. Same here! This will be the first year I have missed in five years! I am seriously going to miss the people and the event.
  3. Although I have not fired a AR type 9mm carbine I have shot lots of MP5! I don't think it would make any difference. Recoil and muzzle rise are almost nonexistent on a 9mm carbine. I have fired lots of full auto through an MP5 which are not equipped with muzzle devises and it does not seem to be a real problem. Good grip and stance does plenty to control it sufficiently most of the time and that is while shooting full auto. I would spend the same money practicing.
  4. Finally a good sticker advertising baby on board!
  5. What is not secure about a Larue mount? I have never had one come loose and I use them on a daily basis for work. If the levers are ever considered loose they can be tightened to the point that they may as well be permanent.
  6. Very nice. What kind of finish is it? Who did it?
  7. Custom molded plugs work best for me. I have tried the surefire plugs and they don't quite block out enough sound. I have tried several pairs of electronic muffs and have never really been happy with them either.
  8. +1 for Slip2000. I have been using their lube and cleaning products for a while an am impressed. The cleaners are all non-toxic and I can clean in the house without nasty fumes. The EWL seems to work great on bolt carrier and slides. I just got a sample of FL and was going to give it a try on a piston AR. Since the receiver stays pretty clean I thought it might do well.
  9. For concealment I would look at a Raven Concealment Systems - Phantom holsters. They are comfortable and hold the gun very close to the body. I also have a fried that has a Crossbreed - Super tuck and he caries a G21. Say it is really comfortable holster.
  10. Oakley Flak Jacket XL with VR28 lenses. They don't fog up like the full Mframe lenses because they are smaller but still offer good protection. The VR28 lens is just dark enough to work outdoors but will work indoors too. If not you can swap the lenses without too much hassle for some clear or yellow.
  11. I use a Gcode holster for my G35. It works well is fast and has adjustable tension. I have shot a lot of three gun stages and never had it work loose while running jumping etc..
  12. I have a friend with a RMR mounted on a M&P pistol. He has just sent it back to Trijicon for the third time. The adjustment screws keep working loose under recoil and are self rotating which moves his zero as he shoots. Not sure at what round count this started, but per his most recent communication with Trijicon they are coming out with an updated version of the sight that is more durable in the very neat future. I would think about waiting to see what comes out at SHOT!
  13. I have. Pair of Alta Superflex knee pads I got from Skd Tactical. I have used them for competitive shooting as well as training and they are extremely durable and protective. They stay put under lots of movement but I leave them a little loose because I dont like the straps to dig into my legs so I end up adjusting them from time to time to stay in place.
  14. Hello, I am new to the BE Forum. I am a LEO in Northern California and have shot competitively off and on for several years mostly for fun but also to obtain some additional trigger time and training for my job. I have shot the MGM Ironman (awesome match) the past two years and joined BE Forums to gleam as much knowledge as I can about the latest in the world of high speed low drag shooting!
