Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I use WW231/HP38 with the Berrys 185 HB Started at 5.7gr and worked up to 6.4 so it would reliably function all of my .45s. Haven't had it over the crono so I don't have a PF on it. Overall length of 1.240ish. I've used it in 4 different 1911s no problems. Start low and go up slow.
  2. Thought I would chime in because your situation sounds similar to mine some time back. I've owned a 550 so I am familiar with it. Shooting a lot of rifle and several pistol calibers as well, but eventually sold it when the family came along. Priorities...blah,blah. Recently my sons and I started shooting IPSC. So we had a need to begin reloading again. My decision was based on the fact that I don't reload for rifle or other handgun calibers, for now or the near future. So I went with the SDB. Price and more importantly to me was the auto indexing feature. My sons reload and the thought of a squib or double charge in competition scares me. The auto index removes alot of that anxiety. Don't get me wrong, you can still screw up but the chances on the SDB are greatly reduced. Reloading rate is about the same in my hands. Teaching them to understand and operate it safely was relatively simple.
