Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. try 6.0 grains WSF,1.23 overall length, either bullet, not major but should be around 150 pf.
  2. I have had several breechfaces that were pitted hand filed to smooth ,weld up and recut the barrel hood to fit. this corrective action has created no problems.
  3. 115 is below minimum weight requirements for uspsa. montana gold makes a great accurate cost effective bullet!
  4. derrick martin refers to an upper breaking in his book on the AR ,IT IS POSSIBLE.
  5. size first, then trim to 1.75
  6. Mobil 1 15/50 in all my open guns for 17 yrs., no premature wear, in az .heat. I dont use a lubricant in gun to soften recoil, play with springs to do that or shock buffers.
  7. BRASSO, buy it at WALMART for 3 bucks a can.
  8. IOR VALDADA , great glass and easy to use ranging reticle.
  9. AFTEC extractor is now called and owned by MILLENIUM CUSTOM I HAVE HEARD , IS THIS TRUE?
  10. Every day of my life i try to give my dog CODY half the love and devotion he gives to me and i always remember that both of our days are numbered and i cherish our time together. Very sorry for your loss.
  11. The ZERO BULLETS in jhp in 9mm are great for open guns and the jacketed base cuts lead buildup in the comp.
  12. The dillon carbide sizer and a case lube make a big plus as compared to a standard die. Much easier to size and more consistency. Trim cases once after first firing,GIRARD TRIMMER is the bomb. I use WINCHESTER brass ,its hard with good volume and no primer crimp to hassle with. AA2230 with 55 gr. HORNADY FMJ for short range. VARGET AA2520, 4895, for long range with SIERRA 77gr. HARRELL powder measure ror accuracy, does take a lot of time though. REDDING competition bullet seater is the best. GOOD SHOOTING.
  13. Iuse about 24 gr. of aa 2230 with that 55er, most ar's shoot 1-1.5 MOA.
  14. Another advantage of the 223 is low cost ball type ammo practical for use on close range hoser type stages. reloading component availability is also abundant for 223 in contrast to 6.8. Reloading component costs are also less and of much variety is available for 223 than 6.8.
