Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Load fast. This was an issue at 2 matches where I used tube SG.
  2. Load up tube at preload table. At make ready. pull bolt back, drop one in chamber and put one on lifter. Press down the one on lifter to make sure the bolt closes.
  3. The reticle markings seem confusing.
  4. Hi. How about Peacemaker National outside of DC in West Virginia? They held FNH 3G for about 5-6 years there. New management now so they might want to put something together. Aaron is the person running/setting up matches.
  5. I shot open w/ my TTI M2 before getting a box fed SG. I can ghost load the M2 so I had 17 rounds to start. My big magazine hold 23 rounds. The Benelli gets front heavy with 17 rounds but the Benelli has an advantage when changing to slugs.
  6. 70 or 80% if you're shooting really well by match time. They will allow you to change your percentage on the morning of registration.
  7. I live by the ole saying " What can you afford?" This past summer, I was running with the rifle and the stage prop snagged my pants. I face planted with the muzzle straight into the ground. I didn't drop the rifle so I got up and finished the COF. I always transition with the safety engaged on my rifle because you never know what might happen. I got a reshoot due to stage malfunction.
  8. I see you're in Collegeville. Kings has rods if you happen to use their kiosk. Don't trust the threading because I know from experience.
  9. It's all personal preference. Make sure you can reach on/off easy.
  10. cool video, but guy says any AR 15 assault rifle.....
  11. You only need an extended tube for the shotgun. Most 3-gunners are very generous and they lend you or help you with equipment at the match, especially juniors. What scope are you using on the AR? Vortex has a nice inexpensive 1-6x scope. I've seen a lot of juniors come out with their fathers AR's decked out w/ Eotech's or Aimpoint and can't hit 100 yard steel, thus getting frustrated. You want to keep the junior engaged otherwise, they won't last long.
  12. I use Leupold Delta points for all 3, even my DA Vepr. Originally, I had Vortex mounted on a 45 for my rifle but I had a difficult time accessing the buttons on the side. Earlier this year, I changed the Vortex to Leupold DPP because I already had them on the shotgun and pistol.
  13. Your matches have 1000 yard slug shots too?
