Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Just installed my KUSA extended mag release and enhanced safety. Now I can reach the safety and mag release with my trigger finger without changing my grip. The next thing I’m getting is the magwell flare and I’m ready to go. The ALG trigger will have to wait. Also, working up light recoiling load using 158 gr. bullet.
  2. CClassForLife, Do you use stock trigger or do you have an aftermarket one? The trigger on my KR9 is not bad but has a long pull.
  3. I’m getting my KUSA KR9 ready for local steel shoots. Does anyone use the KR9 in PCC competition, and if so, what upgrades did you make to your gun?
  4. Gold Team, .40 S&W 3/4" to 1 1/4" off sand bags at 25 yards. 8.4 grs. of Autocomp under 135 gr Rainier.
  5. Fur, Feathers and Fins had a new 9mm Trubor with thumb rest, Cmore red dot scope and mount for $2600. I don't know if that's a good deal or not but they had it.
  6. Witness Limited Pro, 9lb recoil spring, 155 gr Rainier, 3.5 grs WST. Very mild steel load.
  7. I had a similar problem with my.40 Gold Team. It began when I started reloading a new batch of range brass. After checking out everything I could I noticed I had some CBC stamped brass mixed in with Federal, Winchester, and Remington brass. After removing the CBC loaded rounds, I haven't had a jam in 300 rounds.
  8. You could probably go 3.2-3.5 gr. WST with your 180 gr. Bullet.
  9. Before I switched to unlimited (can't see open sights anymore) I used 3.5 gr of WST under a 155 gr Bayou Bullet. I used a 9 Lb recoil spring in my EAA Limited Pro. The guys at the club couldn't believe how little the gun recoiled. I told them I had been working out and was holding the gun with all my mightt but it was the load. 40 S&W 155 gr BB 3.5 gr WST 1.13 OAL 9.0 lb recoil spring
  10. Dave, You already know how I feel about the 40GT. Mine is extremely accurate and fast, but it would be interesting to see which one you prefer if you buy a 38 Super. I think in the USPSA arena, more is better, with everything else being equal. As far as plates go, I can hold my own against the 38 Supers and 9mm here in the Cinci area. But at 57, time is running out.
  11. This load works great in my .40 Gold Team 135 gr. Rainier plated bullet 8.5 gr. CFE Pistol 1.130 OAL 1280 fps Very accurate. Quick dot recovery. Good plate load.
  12. ChuckS, You are right, 135 gr. Rainier. Getting old.
  13. Just remember, each gun is different as well as the shooter. What works for me my not be the best for you.
  14. I tried the 155 bb in Gold team, but for me, I had better accuracy, better control, and faster recovery with the 140 Rainiers. You have to grip the gun firmly but I can just about shoot steel plates as fast with this load as with my .22. Ruger.
