  1. Thanks Ron!! Once again a fun time at the range!! Thanks very much for being forward looking and getting us through the whole match yesterday, it would have really SUCKED to have had to shoot in that downpour today!!! One of the best matches of my year, thanks to all who made it happen.
  2. The Dallas Action Pistol Shooters will be hosting a USPSA Range Officer certification class (Level I RO Seminar) taught by Troy McManus, January 22 & 23 at DFW Gun Range ( www.dfwgun.com ) Cost for the class is $50 per student. (Make checks payable to Dallas Action Pistol Shooters) Class will begin on Saturday at 8:00 a.m., take a short break for lunch, and finish around 6:00 p.m. Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m., students will begin the range portion of the course with a live fire USPSA stage. We will then have a short question and answer period afterwards and should finish up by 12:00 noon. All students will need to bring a USPSA rulebook and a notebook for use during the seminar. Students must be current USPSA members, but they may renew or join at the seminar. Membership is $40/year. Students completing the course will obtain certification enabling them to RO at local (and more importantly) major USPSA matches. Please RSVP for this event at www.dallaspistol.com

  10. Are you looking THROUGH the sites, or OVER the sights? It looks to me that you are not bringing the gun up to your eyes and are looking over the top of the sights. Echoing what the Gman said, there is absolutely no urgency in your draw whatsoever. GET TO THE GUN. It's also hard for me to tell on this video, but I might have detected your right hand's trigger finger squeezing the front of the trigger guard when you pulled the trigger with your left hand. Regardless, there aren't very many folks who shoot worth a damn that shoot with their off hand index finger up there. Look at any number of pictures of your Robbie's, Travis', Todd's, etc.... when they shoot... And finally, you seem to lose control of where the muzzle of the gun is when you're done. As you look to the right, the muzzle drifts right, and drifts and drifts... At a match, you'd be coming dangerously close to popping the 180. Start training yourself to keep the muzzle at the berm at all times now before it gets you in trouble at a match.
  11. That's just the number of folks who've hit the "like" button on my own blog - had a ton of shooters from the Enosverse go vote for me! Ya'll have done great!!!
