I own and use both. I only voted for the 47D because they're less expensive. The ETMs are easier to load (not that either of them are any trouble). The ETMs look better IMO. I personally own 7-8 47D's and 3-4 ETMs. Cost an issue I'd go with 47D, no cost issue go with ETM. You wont go wrong with either, and if you do, I'll give you $20 for them.

In other words, I'm trying to justify (wife's approval ) paying for the look by hoping that it would aid in the removal of a stuck mag (not that I have an y issues, but just in case).

This would go on my IDPA 1911... no concealment here... just wondering if it would aid in the removal of a stuck mag (not that I have problems dropping my mags)...

1. Can someone please tell what the modification to the bottom of this magwell is called? 2. What is the benefit of having it? Better grip of magazines? 3. Does anyone have any experience with them and have pics of theirs (with and without mags)? Thanks!!!
