Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. No update yet. I just need to box it up and ship it off to Glock. I've spoken to more than a few people with this same problem. It doesn't appear to be a widespread problem from what I can tell, but it looks like some of the Gen 4's are coming from the factory shooting high and to the left. Mine came with factory night sights installed. I've since gone to the Glock plain metal rear sight with the same issue.
  2. Yes Stango. There's daylight on either side of the front sight when I'm looking at it through the rear notch.
  3. Will do. Thank you for the advice everyone.
  4. It is indeed a Gen4. It was shooting wayyyy high too, but Glock sent me a lower rear sight which corrected that. So, I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Might have to ship it back. Thank you guys!
  5. Greetings everyone! I have a Glock 34 which I absolutely love. Great shooting gun and very accurate. However, it shooting radically to the left (about 8" at 25 yards), making it necessary for me to drift the rear sight all the way to the right in the dovetail. None of my other Glocks shoot this way. It's almost as if the barrel hood isn't locking up squarely with the slide. Again, my groups are tight and my other Glocks don't shoot this way so I'm not slapping the trigger. Several of my buddies have also shot it with the exact same results. Anyone out there experienced anything like this too?
  6. Thank you Dan. Are guys re-bluing the blades after they've been beveled then? I was trying to void having to re-blue the blade. I saw a company named Kensight that looks like they're making a Bomar copy. Anyone know anything about them and whether their beveled blades will fit the Bomar? Chris
  7. Greetings all, My 1911 has a Bomar rear sight (made for the Ruger .22) melted into the slide. I would like to replace the sight blade with the one that has the 45degree beveled top edges. I know that Bomar is no longer in business but does anyone know where I could find this replacement sight blade? Thank you and all the best to everyone here on the forum! Chris
  8. Don Kehoe Orange County, California Former 'smith for Terry Tussey and Paul Liebenberg's Pistol Dynamics # 1. His pistols are classic, clean, and beautiful...and they run. He can also do all the crazy lightening cuts that are in vogue on the race guns these days. Wouldn't let anyone else touch my 1911s.
  9. KART are my favorite....Brownells has the .45 ACP http://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/barrel-parts/barrels/1911-auto-precision-quality-barrel-prod7615.aspx
  10. Hi Matt, I'm a huge fan of the 870s and just picked up an 870 Police Magnum. I'm curious, what models of 870 gave you the problems and what kind of problems were they? All the best, Chris
  11. Nik and Snertley, Are your Ashley Express sights like the new Remington XS "low profile rifle sights" or is the rear adjustable? I have the Rem XS sights on my new 870 Police. They're fast up close but a little harder from me to get precision shots with on longer slug shots. How do your express sights do on longer slug shots? Any tips for using them on the slug shots? Think if I picked up a Remington rifle sighted barrel it would be just as fast up close as the express sights but with a little more precision on the slug shots? Thanks, Chris
