Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Sorry for the delay in posting, I have been busy at work and my personal projector went down. I have it set up at work now in my office. As Andron stated, you can review your shot history, each shot by pulling the slider bar. It also gives you the slips. In order to reload you can simulate a reload or conduct a reload, depending on the weapon you are using. I have a 9mm laser cartridge along with a SIRT Pistol from next level training. I shoot a CZ SP-01 in USPSA so I like to training with it. Shooting double action after a while is a workout. So I also use the SIRT, it is a block frame laser training pistol with weighted magazines. It will also accept some glock Mags. I was skeptical as most at first, I did a lot of research, and contacted Andrey from iMarksman. We talked and explained everything and I got it for my birthday. Once you get it set up it is addicting. Time will fly by and you get immediate results. Would I buy it again, Yes... I seems like a lot of money up front, but when you caculate gas, range fees and ammo, it will pay for itself very quickly. I have built the Ben's 15 Min Dry Fire Stages in my system and works great. Andrey said he is working on the USPSA targets to add. Once he does that I plan to build as many classifier stages I can to also work on. More to come.
  2. I put together a short clip, I incorporated a few of Ben's 15 Minute Dryfire stages from his book.Once I got it all set up and tweaked the sensitivity for the sensor camera, I was off. I set up a few stages and saved them to the list and got started. Once you either click or shot the stage name in the list list it shows the stag and then, shooter ready, stand by, BEEEEEP. Draw and fire.
  3. First, I do not have a stake in this company. I have tested the imarksman DryFire app for the iPhone. I responded to a post on Facebook and was sent the app to test. As far as this program, I had also been following it online to find more information about it. There I could not locate that much information pertaining to it. I sent Andrey a few messages and he was more than happy to answer my questions. About 2 weeks later I bought it for my Birthday. My first problem I came across is that the iMarksman only works with Windows based PC'c, and all my computers are MAC's. Luckily, my wife had a Windows based laptop that I confiscated to use with it. Oh ya, I hate Windows, installing the program was easy. Dealing with the security in windows sucked. I contacted Andrey and he assisted me in dealing with the windows security. Did I mention I hate Windows. Once I got everything installed, I set everything up in my guest bedroom. After having a few issues with the calibration I decided to go back and read the instructions. Ya, I know I should have done that from the start. After spending the next few minutes reading everything I got it set up and calibrated with no problem. The current system with the IPSC software comes with the camera that captures the laser hits, tripod for the camera and the software. There are about 15 courses that come standard with the ability to create new and or modify the existing ones. You can add your own photos for the background on the stages you create. As far as targets to choose from, currently it only has the classic IPSC targets, poppers and classic no shoots. I have inquired as to USPSA targets being added. Andrey did state that he wanted to start with IPSC and add the USPSA targets in the near future. I am in the process of putting together a few stages to post videos of. When I first got everything set up and started dry firing, an hour went by before I knew it.
  4. I cant wait to get mine set up. Do you have the IPSC set up also. I got that with mine.
  5. www.idryfire.com I was asked if I have a stake in iMarksman due to my review. I do not have any affiliation with the company. I was at a match checking Facebook and I saw that iMarksman was looking for someone to test a new product. I replied and received the bata program. I have been checking out his site and trying to win that full iMarksman set up. I posted a few messages and we started messaging, I inquired as to how much, what is included and told him I needed to see if it would fit into mu budget. I also mentioned that if I bought it, it would be for my birthday. So, I now also have the iMarksman and I cant wait to get it set up and do some reviews on it. Do to the storms here tonight I will not get it set up. But I have been playing with it on the computer, setting up a few courses I have created and I plan to build a few classifiers to start with. Check facebook also for more info on this product. Like his page if you wish and see what else he has to offer. On of his problems is not knowing how to market it to USPSA and idpa. He does not shoot USPSA and wants to learn about it. Mike Hughs of SRT also uses his program with the SRT pistols. I have found he is very personable and will be more than happy to talk to you.

    New to me Shadow

    They had this in King?
  7. A few weeks ago I came across iMarksman on Facebook. I noticed a post asking for people to test a new item for him. So I replied and was sent the iDryfire app to test. This app that is now available in the apple store for $12.99 works with any laser cartridge, SIRT Pistol, beam hit or other laser type device that fits in your barrel for training. Currently I am using the Beam Hit system until I get a laser cartridge for my Shadow. Like a lot of people I get side tracked sometime when I dry fire, get a little sloppy or I may loose focus. As we know when we dry fire we get what we put into it. When you get sloppy or rush the draw or shot. We say things like, ya that was a 5 or perfect head shot. With this app you get to see where your shot hit and brings your focus back in. To set it up, set a target up, open the app and push the Start Button, find something to set your iphone or ipad on that will let the camera face the target and adjust the camera closer or farther to fill the screen up with the target. Once you are ready, press the start button on the top right and it will give you a count down. The buzzer will sound and the timer will begin. At this time it will only register the first hit and stop, the you can look at the screen and see where you hit the target and the time. The current version is great for working on that first shot, or starting at full presentation. When starting at full presentation, hit the start button and once the buzzer goes off, conduct a reload and fire. If you would like more information on this check out the web site, www.idryfire.com/#sthash.BzKvuEez.dpbs. It has a video demonstration and more information to look at. I have also talked with Andrey Safanyuk of iMarksman and providing my feedback on the app. The app will continue to be updated with new features such as allowing to record multiple shots and save the times and screen shot. I will try to post some videos of the app and my experience with it tomorrow night. Has anyone else had a chance to use it?
