Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. $1875 is a pretty good deal. I might have jumped on it if i woulda seen it before it closed. Wouldnt be too hard to take that dot off and drill it for a more traditional mount. Oh well i dont need another open gun anyway

    RTS 2

I know the body of a Romeo3 is not exactly the same but I wouldn't be suprised if its all the same except the external body. i know the mounting on it is the same as the RTS2. I just couldn't get used to the orange dot.
  3. A buddy and I have had very good success with Autocomp and 115s. 7.8 grs gets us right to 170-172 PF. Super accurate and only a little dirty.
  4. I dont remember the circumstances of why he sent them the entire gun but he did. I think maybe he has broken his barrel bushing or something and was having them do some work as well.
  5. Be careful sending guns to robar. If you have a trigger less than 2.5 lbs they will not send your gun back. Happened to a local shooter near us. Sent them a gun and they told him it was unsafe. They required that he have a trigger job done to the gun and when it came back the trigger was terrible. He cussed them up and down until they agreed to pay to have a real gunsmith fix it.

    RTS 2

Reading all this makes me so happy i went with a deltapoint. I dont have to worry about boards coming loose, breaking a battery tray or any of that crap. Some people say the dots too small but that has turned out to be an advantage in my opinion. I hope the V4 continues to work for everyone
  7. ^^^This. Especailly the part about checking to see that the grip has not loosed up or moved. If you are not running spacers in STI mags, you will have issues from time to time. If the top round is sitting too low and thus getting caught under the ramp, you may need to widen the front of the feed lips so that the top round sticks up a little more. In the future I would suggest loading a little longer. If you are not shooting major out of that gun your issue may be that the slide is not going back far enough. I know its sounds crazy that a 7 isn't letting the slide go all the way back but I have noticed that with 125 pf ammo, in my Limcat, that my MBX mags will do the same thing but STI mags run fine
  8. Yeah i think you're doing alright.
  9. Call tripp, ask for the Cory mags or system mags and never worry again. They take a 10 round mag, cut it down to fit in the box and make it really easy on the slide forward reloads. I wish i would have bought them two years before I did.
  10. Hey Mike, thanks for posting on my question but I don't believe I stated that I was needing them for limited 10;  I don't shoot limited 10.  It does make sense about the grooves on the Sti mags.  I had noted that the MBX mags have no spacer and run fine.

Sorry.  I got the threads confused.

  11. Please elaborate. Other than facing uprange/ turn and draw. What is in the classifiers that is too dangerous?
  12. I agree completely that the PCC shooters are not looking for any preferencial treatment. They need to learn how to navigate everything in the stage with that gun. If you start changing the stage for PCC guns your going to make it easier for open guns and that means its "not fair" to them either. PCC guys want this thing to work, they need to make it fit within the confines of the game as it is. As a match director I have been allowing people to shoot rifles on our stages after the match as a just for fun thing for over 2 years now and other than the fact that they don't shoot the steel, it has never been a problem. Now that there is pcc, they just shoot the match at teh same time and we run everyone at once, no issues.
  13. I followed the general consensus for years and shot 180s. At 170 the slide felt a little sluggish and rather than sending it out to have it lightened up, i just started uping the powder charge. at nationals i was shoot 1000fps and it finally dawned on me, "i should just switch to 165s". Havent looked at 180s since.
  14. In an effort for full disclosure, she bought herself an open gun cause Im a stay at home dad. And i think I got off cheap compared to that mustang scotty
  15. I have had a couple grips that would accept the new style SV bows no problem, I had a few that i had to swap the bow out for an sti bow and I have tried modifying the grip but i really dont like to take that much material out of the grip like that. It makes me think the trigger is just gonna push out the front of the grip. IT is all well worth it for those SV shoes
