Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Bend of the River Conservation Club in Niles Michigan was the club I helped at some of the matches Bruce had some health problems and there was no one who wanted to carry the ball and be match director, it was also getting hard to find enough staff for a large match There is still some minor revolver interest at the club and if there were some leadership and supporting staff the club would probly let the match start up again There were some discussions of scheduling some club level revolver matches in 2016 to see if we can develop some revolver interest At this time it's still in the talking stage RC
  2. Scores are now posted http://www.borcc.org/icore/icore.htm I assume pictures will follow, at this time some are posted on the face book page Thanks to the Match Directors for a great job
  3. RAC

    Webley Mark IV

Cherryriver is well know for his skill with his Webley and his support of the shooting sports I have not seen him post around here lately but if you google Bill Zeller revolver his e-mail will show up at clubs such as North Porter County , ICORE, and it appears Excell training group.
  4. Alright- The official announcement of the date of the match and nomination of the new Match Director Congratulations Cherryriver BORCC has a few more upgrades in the works and if we can get an ICORE match or 2 in the area before hand, it should keep the enthusiasm level high to get the volunteers out for the event.
  5. That is interesting to know that a Round Butt weighs less than a Square Butt, I don't have access to a scale and was trying to figure out where I was going to be able to weigh my 686 RB, the only locations I could think of with accurate scales were the post office and the grocery store
  6. GOF not to get to far off topic, but is the 686 that close to weight that different grips will put it over? Has this been a problem with the 686?
  7. With the proper ammo and practice, and that you like the way it feels carrying it, your way ahead of something big bulky and has more power which you might tend to leave at home more often. You will also need to change your tag line to See everything Count to Five
  8. Wow Nice looking loaders and blocks Put some polish on them and you would have some nice shooting Bling going on RC
  9. Will that gap also affect accuracy? And how do you strech the crane? RC
  10. I plan on working the match and shooting Last year’s match was the reason I started shooting revolver in competition And it's been a very interesting year. Sign ups appear to be coming in slowly so I don't know about the numbers this year, either way they alwalys have a good match. RC
  11. If your not going to be shooting your 625 this summer, I have been looking to buy one I could help you out and take care of it for you. I'e been chasing Pete White trying to beat him since the begining of the year and figure may be moon clips will help me pick up some reload speed. RC
  12. My carry weapon is a 229 and I shoot IDPA with either a 226 9mm or a 229 40SW and find I can keep up with the other brands very well.
  13. Great Description Good luck on the ICORE matches, I am a couple of hours west of you and hope to come over and shoot there one of these days BORCC is my home club and last years Wheelgunner's Revenge was my first revolver match, I figured I was helping with the match might as well see what the fuss was about. A great experience but a heck of a learning curve... Learning to count to 6 was one of my many lessons. I did also find that shooting a revolver has helped with my semi auto shooting as I grabbed the Sig bottom feeder and shot an IDPA match this weekend and found I had more than enough shots for all of the stages and sight focus had improved.
  14. Thanks I see Brent got some e-mails flying around about the event this week hopefully you can pick up some shooters from those notices, I received updates from 3 different clubs that he had room for some additional shooters It does not look like I'm going to be able to try it out this year, good luck with the event. RC
  15. There are a couple of us trying to get our schedules rearranged to make the event, who are the revolver shooters signed up so far? RC
