Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I haven't found a rifle yet that won't shine with 25gr of Varget under a 69gr SMK. Some barrels shoot faster than others but it's my personal favorite.
  2. Foam probably, but not so sure the carbon soup that the foam creates wouldn't form a blockage and dry into a plug. I ask because the directions on the can say not to use on gas operated firearms.
  3. Has anyone had trouble with the foam causing a build up in the gas tube or gas port?
  4. ...should've gamed it and shot 'em all with the pistol, lol
  5. I always got choked up a little when it played, even in boot camp. There's probably something wrong with a guy who doesn't respect that sad tune.
  6. Those were some sick runs Nils. Thanks for posting the video, that stage 5 run was awesome. And again, sorry about the DQ. J.T.
  7. Try an assortment and buy in bulk when you find one that hits closest to your point of aim at the range you expect to shoot. Reduced recoil is what you want to start with. Most find they get much quicker follow up shots and you will appreciate that on say a 10 slug target array like we just had at the SMM3G. My Benelli likes the Federal LE127's for 100 yard targets and the slower Remington reduced recoil sluggers for the 50 yard stuff.
  8. Well, seeing as how we followed squad 2 for the match... Of course I have to thank the sponsors and match staff for a great match. Squad 13 was an honor to shoot with. Not only were you all great shooters, you were fun to be around and we re-set stages quicker than any other squad - guaranteed.
  9. I've had good results flattening a brass case and scraping with it on blued guns. You can contour them to the barrel or whatever your working on. Never had a hard chromed gun but I would imagine it would work.
  10. So even when they meet your ridiculous demands, they still get no credit from you for doing the right thing. Guess they made the wrong call and shoulda let you leave, huh? When you have a preconceived notion about someone's motivations, it's hard for you to interpret anything in any other light, isn't it? If by credit you mean total inability to run a business professionally and not a hint of caring until someone actually made a stand then sure I'll give them credit. I take it you have absolutely no idea what customer service is as well, government employee?
  11. I had the first appointment in the morning one time and after I saw the doctor walk in an hour late, I went to the front desk and demanded my co-pay back and left. The nurse called me on my way home to apologize and beg me to reschedule. I told her I would as long as they pay my wage for waiting on them and wouldn't you know it, they agreed. I guess my insurance paid well.
  12. It all depends on how much room is under the car. The last time I went roll-over prone on the right side, the very last round in the gun jammed. Luckily I was finished with the stage and saw it at ULSC. Most times regular prone is what's needed to clear the bottom of the car because the targets are too high on the other side. More important than the style of prone in that situation is making sure you don't run the gun dry, you'll wast like 5 sec trying to get another shell in there.
  13. I personally run with the plus 7. I find it gives a lot of flexibility to stage/reload planning. A lot of people base their tube length off of their barrel length but I don't mind the tube extending a couple of inches longer.
  14. Good ol' Daryl!! My 2nd most "hated" Top Shot contestant. The top honor goes to Sniper George who is the reason why I stopped watching the show! Luck for you, you didn't have to see the Navy Squeal. He was by far the worst contestant ever.
