I use a carpet door mat works great from pamida discount store. cheap to replace and comes in a wide variety of colors.

+1 on the hard anodizing. the surface hardness of hard anodizing is around 60 rockwell which is about the same hardness of quality drill bits made of high speed steel. also very wear and abrasion resistant.

for semi long term I use a product called mold shield made by a company called Slide. its a dry aerosol application. good for 2 yrs storage indoors. primarily used for the mold industry when storing a mold which is bare steel in most cases. works good. does require a light wipe down of WD-40 etc when youre ready to shoot it again. works very well where I live (iowa) very high humidity in the summer. I have seen this selling on fleabay if you only want a single can otherwise its sold in case quantity.

I've done some reloading in rifle calibers and dabbled in 9mm long ago. whats a good powder to use for 45acp. and are there any to avoid? I have everything but powder. so I am looking for some advice from those more in the know than I. I do plan to get into some competition shooting this year at our local range. I am using std 230gr JRN slugs.

I made a rotary tumbler using a 5 gal bucket. you can do whole lot of brass at one time in a 5 gal bucket. takes longer if you do small amounts. but if you have a bunch its much faster.
