Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Recce here and mine does dime size groups at that range...
  2. About 3 minutes... 200 acres of pure shooting bliss. I love having it literally down the road.

Hello and welcome... I have a 229, and its one of my favorites. Even being a southpaw, and having less than friendly controls for us lefties, it's still one of my best shooters and most fun to shoot.
  4. I just received my new comptac and it looks solid. Haven't had a chance to run it through the paces, but quality is good, as are the parts. Seems pretty tight, so we will see when it breaks in a bit. Overall pretty pleased with it.
  5. Been there. Sat on the floor of my vet office with my golden retrievers head in my lap when they did it. Bawled my eyes out. It is just like losing a family member, and we were all very sad for a long time. Hang in there...
  6. Got the ammo at took it to the range today. I swear I was 1 inch hole after 50 rounds at 7 yards. Going to shoot some steel tomorrow. Springer trigger and all the rest is AWESOME. What a great purchase!
  7. So after years of rifle reloading I tried cleaning a mixed batch of .45, 9mm, and .40 along with some rifle cases that were in a mixed bucket. Out the ALL in the tumbler and when i pulled them out I had a total mess of 9 stuck in the 40, and those stuckin the 45s. Total freakin mess. The walnut shells all holding it all together like glue. Had to sacrifice a bunch of 9 cases with a needle nose to get them apart... Lesson learned not to mix the pistol brass!
  8. Ties will be de decided at 10 paces!
  9. Yep, all the time. Between my Front Sight mag, rifleman, and G&A, it's always on the brain... The forums don't help much in that regard either!
  10. Wow, thanks for all of the responses. It's great to see all of the options! I am a 1911 guy too, so I may check that out.
  11. I just shot a speed steel match and lots of folks had .22 pistols. It looked like a bunch of Rugers, but is there one recommended above others? Hi Standard? Is there one that can be customized more easily down the road? Sorry if this is the wrong forum... Thanks!
  12. I have a trp, and absolutely love it. I have looked at the RO, and if it shoots as well as mine, you won't be disappointed.
