I have a shooting buddy that has one in his 6 inch Limited gun.
He blew up the barrel (squib followed by a non squib) a short
time ago, but the Briley spherical bushing survived as did the
frame and slide.
Shoot Open mainly because of vision problems. Wear bi-focals and cannot see
iron sights as clearly as I used to. But, I do shoot with both eyes open.
But, thankfully I am right handed and right eye dominant. Keep working on
it and it will come.
As I get older I have lost interest in 3 gun, will be selling my Open shotgun down the
road a piece. I had a great time and its great fun, but time to move on. Have fun.................
I use hearing aids for normal use. I take them out when shooting.
I use Peltor Tactical Sport Electronic Hearing Protectors and I
love them. One side adjusts both ears and they fit tight and work
with Rifles and Shotguns without getting in the way. Cannot wear
ear plugs, need the amplification.
I like the On-Line Squadding (sp), but not sure about On-Line Registration.
I see the point of being able to immediately get into the match and the
more I think about it sounds good. How would you pay for the match?
Welcome to the best shooting Forum, period. Will be at the Nationals and you
can ask me anything, love my Bedell Open gun. Congratulations on your retirement
and that your wife shoots with you; cool............... .
I have a 24 inch barrel on my Open shotgun and I love it. With
the long extended tube, it seems more balanced than what I think
a 21 inch barrel would feel. I think it also reaches out to
those 25 yard plus Poppers when using 7 1/2 shot better.
I shoot MG bullets and have never had any issues with them or our local Post Office.
The Post Office will not deliver them to my house, but I don't expect our mail lady to
handle the heavy boxes. She puts a notice in our mail box and I go and pick them up.
