Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for the tip. I will be bringing it back to the gunsmith to look at it. Right now Im asking more out of curiousity to see what can be done to correct the problem. Thanks again, Jon
  2. I recently purchased a new Mossberg 930SPX and had the barrel threaded for a choke tube. Before I had it threaded it shot right on with the rear ghost ring site centered, Now that it has a choke tube its shooting way to the right @ 50 yards with slugs. maybe 20'' or so. Im able to zero it but the rear site has to be screwed all of the way to the left and I have to shoulder the gun in an unatural position to line up the sites. I have tried two different choke tubes and it doesnt correct the problem or change the POI at all. What might be my next option to get this thing to shoot a little straighter? Thanks, Jon
  3. I just bought a mossberg 12ga. 930spx last night. 18" barrel with no choke. The lack of a choke concerns me on being able to knock down steel targets at 30 yards because of the open pattern. I currently have a bunch of federal target loads that I shoot out of my 500. they are 2-3/4 1-1/8 oz 7-1/2 shot. Im very new to shotguns so im not exactly sure what ammo would be best to try out of this gun for knock down power. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a 3-gun event tomorrow and im planning on going to the range this afternoon to test out some rounds with it. thanks, Jon
