Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Sounds like you are getting your moneys worth out of those extractors. If its any consolation, I too get the occasional stovepipe, but its generally whiskey related.
  2. Back in the day, I had a 22C that I wanted two tone, but didnt want a shine that would affect my sight picture. The trick was good white vinegar. Leave the slide in the vinegar for an hour, remove and rinse. It was a nice charcoal matte when I was done.
  3. Many thanks to both of you. Ive followed your 1911 build thread since it began, OG. Amazing work, truly an inspiration for all of us hobbyists.
  4. You guys probably should have warned me that this would quickly consume me.
  5. Thanks bud! I've got that link handy, however the benefit will be that all my dimensions are based off the firearm I have to work on.
  6. I can completely understand that. I have yet to model the rear of the slide, but everything else is done. The trick now, will be to put it into a 3d object. Thank you again, Amish!
  7. You were quite right, Amish. Thank you for taking the time to post. I had hoped that using previously done models would have been easy, but after trying to infer my measurement restraints, it quickly became a nightmare. Im totally new to AutoCAD, and modelling in general, so immediately I felt overwhelmed. Was this what you had in mind?
  8. Assuming you have a good understanding of Autocad fundamentals, of which I do not.
  9. Morning all, Has anyone got any available? Ive recently purchased an STI Edge, and am mocking up some ideas for compensators, serrations, cutouts etc. I have checked the various cad resources and found a perfect frame for my needs, but I need a slide to match. Thanks in advance! -Blue
  10. I absolutely must know who makes that thumb safety, and how I can order it.
  11. Does anyone know if the shadow slide stop is compatible with the TS, with or without slight modification? Also, are the safeties interchangeable? Thank you! Edit: finally found a photo that had them somewhat side by side. It appears the lug is set further back on the TS. It's unfortunate that they don't make such a lever with the same profile for the TS.
  12. Thanks for the links! The first worked great, exactly what I was after. However the second, the pictures don't show up, unfortunately.
  13. Looks fantastic, bud. Something for the rest of us to strive for.
  14. Wow. Did it take a lot of work to achieve that pull?
