  1. Our match will be held on Feb. 20-21, 2010 at Phoenix Rod and Gun Club. www.thetprc.com is our new website. We will be able to accomodate 60 shooters this year. We started taking applications yesterday and already more than 1/4th full. All info can be obtained from the website or email me directly at Scott@specializeddynamics.com
  2. Phoenix rod and gun club at 8am on sunday the 20th of Sep. bring 50 rounds, AR's are ok to shoot, just know your dope out to 500yds. we'll be practicing and checking zero on thursday morning too. The match is 100-500 yards Any questions, please email me
  3. Jason, we'd love to have you come out. The most important thing we are promoting is to get out and shoot, plus have some fun. Trying to make it a little less competitive and make it more of a learning experience. I know a little bit about AR's, so if you need some help sighting in or shooting out to 500, my schedule is very flexible.
  4. I was dissapointed in the turn out, only 12 folks, people who signed up didn't show and not a courtesy email or anything. Oh well their loss. 5. We will be having our first SPR match this sunday(aug.30th) at 8am at phoenix rod and gun club. 60 rounds, its a combination between 3gun and precision rifle, lots of different shooting positions under strict time. We'll be shooting from 25yds to 500yds. Must sign up(not pre-pay) so we know how many shooters to expect: Sign up No steel core ammo unless you want to buy my steel targets Bring 60 rounds Have fun Match is $15 for members of Phoenix rod and Gun Club and $20 for non-members Start time is 8am
  6. Rifles Only for sure. They are in Kingsville, TX Jacob and Lindy are some of the best teachers out there.
  7. I've only broken an ejector. But i also carry a bolt disassembly tool and a few springs for my 700.
  8. Website updated with new info. www.tacticsprc.com
  9. Very cool design, i have my own unique design coming out when i build my 300 win mag(waiting on krieger barrel)
  10. We will be done shooting by noon, then awards hopefully at 1pm, so 3pm would be safe to say, maybe 5 or 6pm flight if you are flying. Lots of Californians, Kurt is bringing a crew from nevada, Utah folks emailed, lots of arizonians too. 4 from texas already emailed, i told everyone to wait until Nov. 1st though. No applications til then, to be fair to everyone. Hope you can make it, missed meeting you last year at smm3gun or was it desert classic? whichever. I'll be there again with a Tactics booth in the vendor tent.
  11. We'll be using MOA or bigger targets. Zero rifles after check in on friday Some COF's will be published, but not all. Elevation is 1650ft
  12. We will be holding a long range precision match on Feb 21-22 at phoenix rod and gun club. 45 shooters, 2 days of shooting. This is an individual event with shots from 50ish to 700ish yards. Entry fee is $150 before Jan. 1 and $175 after. We will start taking applications on Nov. 1st. From some I have talked to this will fill up quite fast. We have beautiful weather(usually) in February and being a big metropolis, there is plenty to do either before or after the match. Our website for the match is: www.tacticsprc.com Feel free to email me any questions you may have.
  13. We do 14.5/16/18/20/22/24 inch barrels, the barrel length is important to how far you want to shoot. Several guys on this forum all shoot my 18" mid-length barrel for competition shooting. Thats what I prefer also. There is nothing wrong with a 16" barrel nor with a 20" barrel. Our home range here in Arizona(RIO) we shoot out to 350yds. Some people only have the luxury of 100yd bays. In Raton, NM, I believe they shot out to 600yds this year. For that long of a range, i would run a 20" barrel. Again, personal preference and some good info on here with all these world class shooters. Good luck whichever way you go.
