  1. Armscor now makes a 22TCM9R version of their MAPP (Tanfoglio) pistols... https://armscor.com/firearms/ria/mapp-series/mapp-fs-tcm9r/ Part number for conversion kit consisting of 22TCM9R barrel and recoil spring is 58067.
  2. Here's a to a video by FortuneCookie45LC on OAL to get you started.
  3. Lots of good advice above. Another good source of information is Ranch Dog's Lee-Loader Forum. Ranch Dog has several loadmasters that were misbehaving and has resorted to using Magic Mike's services... I've also seen good reviews of the new Lee Auto Drum powder measure. It is now on my short list.
  4. If you can't find a longer threaded barrel, try a threaded barrel extension.
  5. Cool. I didn't know all is needed for caliber swap is barrel. I've also done this to a 40mm upper with a 9mm barrel and some 9mm magazines. Some swaps work better than others. Depends on the frame/extractor among other factors. For example, going from 45 ACP to 9mm probably won't work...
  6. There's a shop in Nevada that is selling 22 TCM rifle barrels for $50. Scroll to the botom of the following link for details... http://www.specialinterestarms.com/index.php?page=novem These might make good sleeve inserts.
  7. I found some E-Lander brand magazines with polymer base plates and steel base plates.
  8. n5esrx, Is your Witness Classic a Small/Narrow frame Tanfoglio? Have you done this conversion yet? If so, how well does it shoot? Thanks!
  9. Atlas, thanks for pointing that out. It was not clear from the description on the Numrich site, but I see where you have commented on this in the past...
  10. Numrich has a 4.5" 38 Super barrel and a compensated 9x21 barrel listed on their site.
  11. The Numrich 38 Super and 9x21 barrels can also be converted to 9x25 Dillon. I know a smith here in Ohio that says he can rechamber Tanfoglio barrels for 9x25 Dillon :-)
  12. Sorry for the thread reserection, but I just found a source for barrels chambered in 7.62 x 25 Tokarev at Indianapolis Ordnance My idea is to follow the process outlined above, and to extend the barrel insert so it can be fitted with a threaded extension. With the stepped chamber at one end and the threaded extension at the other, the barrel sleeve should be locked in place. Happy Hardware Hacking!
  13. I was thinking about the barrel sleeves today and had a brain storm. As long as we are turning down barrel blanks and rechambering them for exotic rounds, why not cut them a little bit longer and add a threaded extension for compensators or suppressors? So, if the sleeve is stepped at the chamber, the threaded extension would lock the sleeve in place.
  14. I have one in .40 S&W with a 9mm conversion barrel :-) They have a hollow space behind the magazine well that will acommodate a shoulder stock.
  15. You can also make 7.62x25 Tokarev out of 5.56 brass.
