My windage is the same and my elevation is 2 inches higher at 20yds with my minor load. If I don't have a major match coming up I usually split the difference when sighting in. I use a 124MG for major and 115MG for minor. My variance may not be that far off due to my minor load still being about a 140pf to keep the comp working.

I prefer a Dawson front and a Bowen Rough Country rear. I really like this setup. It gives me a nice sharp sight picture.

I had my super converted to a 357. I peened the notches out beyond repair. At the same time I replaced the barrel and went with a 6.5 model 27 barrel and love it. As mentioned earlier it transitions fast and the longer sight radious helps with those farther shots.

It would be nice to have a one gun and gear that would be able to be competitive and be able crossover in both arenas. I could and would be able to shoot the same revolver every weekend of the month weather that is ICORE or USPSA. I might be wrong but I believe ICORE has the largest number of revolver shooters and by making one of their more popular guns legal (also one that you can still purchase) it would give an instant boost to USPSA. So to answer the above question nothing. Many of us would like to shoot the same gun for both allowing for more trigger time.

This is not a modification of the Revolver division, it is a fundamental change of it. The rules of USPSA allow for up to 8 shots at single position and that is what you get a lot of the time. The last nationals was all 4's and 8's. Unless you change that rule for the whole of USPSA, the 6 shot gun that has been revolver division is dead. Not one shooter who finished top 10 at the nationals would shoot one because it would not be competitive. It is not just the standing reloads, it is extra shots on steel and swingers, it is being able to push harder because you have back up, and it is not having to make choices to what you will shoot when and where. What I liked about revo was having to shoot fast and straight and figure out how to shoot the stage to your skill set. Shooting revo is a challenge and that goes away with the 6 shooters. We can talk about the ICORE guys and how can we get them into USPSA. I know for a fact that many of them have 625's or 25's and they don't come out. Equipment is not the reason. I am an Icore guy and do have a 625 but I just don't find 6 shots any fun at USPSA matches. Dave Using the single stack comparison is not valid and foolish. SS works because we shoot in an 8 round world. 8 vs 10 is fine when you never have more than 8 shots. 6 vs 8 will never be fair in 8 round matches. Rob had said we could make a revo only match 6 round neutral to be fair. When do we ever have an revo only match. Not Area, State, or sectionals. No 6 shots in any of those matches with the rule change. I am talking about competing at the top level. I realize that if Matt Griffin is shooting an Area match and the next best guy is B class; Matt can win with a 625. Who thinks they could have beat Matt shooting a 627 while they shot a 625 at the last nationals. The answer is NO ONE. There will guys shooting 6 shot for fun just like Vic shoots his open revo in open class but they will not win. Before we completely change revo division, why not make a category in production for revolvers?? In a few years, we could see the number for people who are interested in shooting their 8 shots in USPSA. I know Rob has stated that they are not competitive but under the present rules, they are much more competitive vs 10 than is 6 vs 8. I shoot my 8 shot in L10 minor but at the end of the day my scores just blend in finishing in the middle of the pack instead of being recognized as the revolver shooter that I am. Dave I want to be clear. We are talking about completely changing the division not just adding a few new shooters.

Which way will grow more shooters. I believe the 8 shot will. Many people especially a new shooter do not want to shoot 165pf out of a revo. Many people can’t afford multiply guns. If I was just getting into it and 8 shot minor was legal in USPSA at least I can rationalize buying the 8 shot gun. I could then shoot ICORE, Steel Challenge, USPSA and all my local Steel Matches. With a 6 shot in major some of those other games are just no fun and harder to rationalize the 6 shot gun. I would also like to say I am newer to USPSA and I would prefer to shoot revolver and I do have a 625 5 inch that’s been worked over by APEX but still when I look at the different arrays of targets at USPSA matches I got tell you it also doesn’t look like any fun to shot 6 shots with the amount of reloads you have to do. So I prefer to shoot the open gun I just bought even though I would rather shot my 8 shot revolver. Dave Jones

I love my Johnson Precision rack. I have the rack for an 8 shooter and use stainless Hearth Co clips. The guys I know that use the Johnson rack with the steel moons are putting a piece of material between the magnet and the moon to buffer the strength of the magnet because it holds the moons to well. I will say I have never tried a North Mountain so I really can't compare.

It's probably just me but when switching from a bottom feeder one of the hardest transitions for me was trying to get used to the fat .060 fibers on the SDM's all my semi auto's were setup with the skinnier .040 front fiber. Later I found out that the Toolguy here on these forums makes a great front sight that houses the skinnier front fiber which I prefer. It doesn’t cover as much of the target up when you’re trying to make the farther shots. I am not aware of anyone else that makes one so if your looking for a quality front sight that is a little skinnier my vote goes to the Toolguy. He makes them for the pined or slip in styles and in different heights. I also use a .250 for my front sight.

I would also like to see a .100 wide front. If anyone knows where to get one please let me know. The current sights out there are just to big covering most of a target on longer shots.
